1. What’s your favorite strategy for avoiding tough situations?

          "Usually I just say that I have to go to the bathroom, or I'm hungry, or I left something in my car, and then I high-tail it. Old-school, but it holds up. I used to love it when my kids were small 'cuz then I could just announce that somebody had an accident and waltz right outta pretty much anywhere, and everybody, I mean everybody, gets outta the way."

          "Hey, nobody's perfect! I would say, uh... Getting divorced, final answer. Also sometimes I like, leave the toilet seat up... No, wait, I play too much minigolf? I walk out of hotel buffets with like thirty-five croissants in my pockets, and I have this slight tendency to smoke crack after sudden breakups. I'm a Pisces, you dig? I'm a sensitive guy and shit."

37. What does someone say is your biggest problem when communicating?

          "Apparently I talk too much. I don't think I talk too much. I can keep my mouth shut, you dig? I just choose not to, sometimes. But I only sing on karaoke night. What I'm saying is, uh, I ain't a snitch. That's what matters."

@hammurabicomplex​ :  Was their family close-knit or not?

          absolutely  not.  lance  feels  absolutely  no  connection  to  either  his  father  or  his  mother.  they’re  both  just  scary  people  to  him  and  he  doesn’t  care  much  about  them.  the  household  never  relied  on  love  and  support.  lance  was  used  to  constant  fights,  ignorance  and  intolerance.  a  close-knit  family  picture  was  never  possible  because  there’s  always  been  this  big  age  gap  between  his  parents.  lance  wasn’t  exactly  a  wanted  child  so  he  put  most  of  his  energy  in  his  job  than  the  family.  but  his  mother  didn’t  want  to  play  housewife  at  such  a  young  age,  so  she  decided  to  take  care  of  her  career  as  well.  which  left  Lance  either  alone  or  with  the  housekeeper.  therefor  a  true  bond  between  all  the  family  members  simply  was  never  an  option.
