Dear Genevieve Offers Viewers Great Design Advice
Guest post written by Patrick Hull
One of my favorite real estate shows currently on TV is Dear Genevieve. This show is on the network HGTV and features designer Genevieve Gorder. She used to be on the show Trading Spaces that was on TLC, and now people seeking her advice can write in. Genevieve goes to their home to fix the problem.
I enjoy her design ideas, and the show has helped me to improve several rooms in my own home. I really didn't like the tile that was in my bathroom when I purchased the home, and I didn't know how to fix it. She gave me the idea to change the wall color to complement the tile, and to accessorize with the color of my shower curtain, hand towel, and bath towels. With her advice I also added a basket to keep extra towels in, and a cabinet above the toilet for extra storage.
I've also purchased throw rugs to add warmth to my living room with her advice, and decided to change the color of my kitchen to red. I really love the red in my kitchen, and I don't think that I'll get tired of it any time soon. I watch Dear Genevieve on my satellite TV from www.TVbyDirect.com, and I often choose to record the show so that I can refer back to it regarding her design concepts.
