Solas is crying in the DAV prologue

I've stumbled across gameplay breakdown, where authout (Lady Sulevin) states that Solas is crying as he faces the freed gods.

At first I was hesitant, as this just as much could have been rain droplet (he is covered in them), but after closer inspection it does seem to be the case!

His face as he looks at Rook, after the ritual was interrupted by them.

While wet from the rain, the left side of his face doesn't show any tears. His expression is tired and sad. (He screamed "NO!" twice, as we watched statues fall)

Then, as he turns, his face becomes angrier and a bit annoyed?

He is fully turned towards the rift, but before he catches two figures -> now it's a bit desperate on top?

The moment he noticed evanuris (shocked)

And here it is. The tear texture appears at this moment. Fuck me.

My poor baby. I want to comfort him so much. He is devastated: his plan is in ruins once again, all he sacrificed for the last decade, the person he became - all for nothing.

Did BioWare lose their lore bible for Dragon Age or... ?

I didn't even get around to replaying the series before Veilguard and I'm still clocking little weird things. Bull's romance card says that he was pleased the Inquisitor returned his overtures. What overtures? The Inquisitor was the one who made overtures and Bull pretty consistently passed over them until after his personal quest (probably because he thought they needed trust before they could enter into a BDSM dynamic and I think his superiors wanted him to foster that kind of relationship if he could, but Bull was edging away from that because he thought the Inquisitor was doing good work and didn't want to use them that way; once his personal quest is done he can finally enter into a relationship with them without feeling conflicted but anyway --)

And the bit where Solas says that he abhors the use of blood magic when in Inquisition he said that it can be a useful tool in the hands of those who don't want to abuse it and use it for harm.

They're not huge details so it's not game breaking, but the current lead writer wrote Bull and Solas, so it's kinda strange...

Not to completely devolve into obsessive posting about Solas, but as an autistic, listening to that banter between him and Cole where he talks Cole through his overwhelm from being in the material world and telling him to focus on bodily sensations etc to ground him... it's impossible not to read that as him helping him through an autistic meltdown.

And the way he does it, so understanding and gentle and then reassuring him that he has nothing to be ashamed of. That it can be overwhelming for anyone.

Cause shame when you come down from it is usually a big part of it. Like maybe even the worst part of it in my very personal opinion, if someone else witnessed it. And to have thst someone be like, it's completely fine. This is not something you need to apologise for. You're not broken for experiencing this.. yeah.

I just wanna smooch Solas so bad for that. No matter how often I hear that particular banter, I almost tear up every time.
