Patrick Stewart and His 'Blunt Talk' Mates Play a Game of 'P.S. or B.S.'

Speaking bluntly, nobody knows more about Sir Patrick Stewart than Sir Patrick Stewart himself. The beloved Star Trek captain and star of the new Starz series Blunt Talk showed off his smarts in a rousing game of “P.S. or B.S.,” answering Yahoo TV’s true or false questions about his illustrious life and career.

Stewart, who plays blunt-talking TV newsman Walter Blunt, competed head-to-head against the show’s creator, Jonathan Ames, and his co-stars Adrian Scarborough and Jacki Weaver. And while they occasionally struggled to correctly ascertain the veracity of such “facts” as “Patrick Stewart tweeted a photo of himself in a lobster costume” (True) and “Patrick Stewart told Star Trek fans to ‘Get a life,’” (False), P.S. nailed each one. 

He took the opportunity to school his opponents (and viewers) in several areas of his life as well, like the time he secured a job as an obituary writer for a newspaper in his native England at age 15. “Strings had been pulled because I wasn’t qualified,” Stewart said. Faking your way into a job? That’s a prime directive Jean-Luc Picard would never agree with.

Blunt Talk premieres Aug. 22 at 9 p.m. on Starz.
