An Awkward Adventure || Patrick & Soren
Soren was somewhat of a lost soul, though part of him remembered a time when he hadn’t roamed the earth like the ghosts that so intensely interested him. Nowadays it seemed to be one of the few times that he truly felt at peace with himself and the world that surrounded him. Time to think seemed to be in heavy demand and short supply, which in his opinion was a fatal flaw of the entire schooling system with the Summit being just as guilty as any other party. At least Salem came with wooded areas that the students were allowed to explore, in contrast of what he knew of Hogwarts and its Forbidden Forest.
It was a sunny afternoon and the air was as crisp as the leaves that would soon begin to fall from the trees, as he walked along the trails that surrounded the school and town. For once, Soren wandered with no express purpose aside from growing more familiar with the area and ending up as far away from the temptation that the library offered as possible. Though he had heard that there were lakes nearby, so somewhere along the way he made the decision to head toward one of those.
Water had plenty of uses in magic and there were plants that only grew by or in the water, so maybe a lake could hold the answer. He shook his head, pulling himself from his thoughts and focused on the surrounding nature and the silence. Looking ahead he realized that he was reaching the point of two trails merging - and of course there was someone he knew that was also walking towards that point. Would it be rude to ignore them, probably but Soren didn’t mind.
