Just come to think of it: it could have been a day like any other hadn’t it happened. But now the thing that occurs to us every time we hear someone say that it is the international kissing day is this. Their demonstration of pure love, the quintessence of overcome suffering, the Jisbon kiss!!! It is a watershed, and nothing can ever be the same after it.
On a few occasions Jane and Lisbon tiptoe around the subject of their relationship and it is obvious that both understand what they are talking about though it is (as quite often with them) done in a very roundabout way. It seems they like provoking each other and making the other read between the lines, and suffer, too. Though there is no second meaning to their words, they both know there is a major issue that needs to be resolved between them. This happened on the plane and in the Il Tavolo Bianco restaurant. They went so far in this game, I'm happy it didn't result in two ruined lives. I'm happy for Jane who was and would be an uprooted plant without Lisbon.
