The room is hot. Way too hot. Usually Hanta was complaining about being freezing. He was much too susceptible to the cold, it fucked with his joints worse than they already fucked with themselves. He wasn't used to laying in his room and feeling like he was boiling alive. Waking up in a sweat wasn't a pleasant experience and the pile of blankets on top of him certainly didn't help. Tossing them off, he rolled out of the hammock, feet tapping against the floor with practiced precision. He wandered over to his alarm clock on his desk, lips pursing and brows flicking down as he read the time. About two hours before he usually woke up. He didn't think he was going to get much more rest in that time.
Might as well get a start on the day, his mind replied. He turned off the sound machine in the corner of his room, the gentle sound of rolling waves fading out and just the stale quiet of the room taking over, refilled his oil diffuser, and kicked around the pile of clothes on the floor that he was totally going to take care of to find a decent shirt to wear. He didn't bother brushing his hair out, the cowlicks and unruly mess weren't of much concern, not like anyone else was going to be up this early.
Heading downstairs, he made a beeline for the kitchen, perusing the fridge and pantry for ingredients to make his breakfast. Having an empty kitchen to work in was quite nice. Just as he was putting the rice he had gathered to boil he heard the doors to the dorm building open and close.
Who could that be? The sun wasn't even up yet. Could it be an intruder? A villain getting past all the protection and precautions the school had? Hanta peeked his head out of the kitchen, heart racing with anticipation, but the sight that greeted him washed all his worries away. Iida Tenya, a much more familiar and welcomed face. But what was he doing out so early in the morning?
"Class prez?" He called out, a confused but relieved smile on his face. "What are you doing up so early?"
