Princess sole - the smooth side goes against my skin because shudders textures

Custom toe shape. I've never met someone whose toes are a triangle with their middle toes at point. I don't understand why every sock wants that, I decided to try a thing and it worked perfectly.

How to Make Modifications (like adding stripes) To a Factory Pattern

First we're going to use waste cloth, like muslin or cheap cotton, to make a mock up according to pattern instructions. I personally use old bedsheets bc lots of fabric and you can buy them from hotels for cheap (I paid 25 cents per queen sized top sheet!)

1 - Choose pattern, lay out pieces as instructed on the waste cloth, and pin.

2 - Remove cat.

3 - cut out pieces, mark and label accordingly.

4 - Remove cat.

Had to make some fit modifications cause the original pattern made me look like a box

My weekend wip: a floor doily for my sis. The pattern (which calls for bedspread weight thread and gauges 8") is available at Raverly. I used two strands dishcloth weight which boosted the diameter to 21". The last row was modified to remove the picots. This way I can get the diameter closer to 24" and - because it’s a floor mat - make final round edged with singles.

Throwing this out to the knitblr to see what brighter minds than me can find.

I have a top-down cardigan pattern I'd like to adapt for steeks. Because of the increases for the shoulders and body, I'm thinking I'll have to jiggle the math. My Google and Ravelry searches have turned up squat on how to do the modifications. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

The cardi is a single color, but it's a nice sticky wool, so I think it would be a good candidate for learning to steek, something I've meant to do for a while.
