A chance at revenge {Nathaniel Finch}

A message is delivered to the vampire’s office at the Chateau:

Nathaniel,

I was informed of your visit to the Dominion. It happens that I have important matters to discuss with you child. Come to the Dominion today.

Alpha.

Nathaniel read the note several times over before it finally registered. It had taken a very, very short time for the Alpha to hear of the matter, and he worked faster than Nathaniel figured he would. Not because he didn't care, but because he seemed like the type of man to be busy. He jumped up from his seat and damn near booked it out the door, and out of the Chateau. It wasn't until he had his car parked in front of the Dominion that he even took a second to slow down and let his mind catch up to his body. As important as the matter was, there was no professionalism in pushing past people just to get his matters tended to first. (Even if his were significantly more important.) Nathaniel straightened out the sleeves of his jacket and made his way through the Dominion to where he remembered the Alpha's office to be. He was even courteous enough to speak to the secretary instead of barging right on in. "Nathaniel Finch. The Alpha requested to see me."
