that’s a horrible way for your mum to react, and on the one hand it’s a product of sexism but it’s still fucked. you are more than your body. you are a strong, wonderful woman and you deserve to be happy.
thanks pattsy, I love you, you are also a strong beautiful person and you bring so much joy into my life and i’m so grateful that i’ve gotten to know you and that we’ve stayed friends through everything and i totally understand why my mum is like that it’s just hard because it’s rubbed off on me so much, i mean my grandparents used to force her to go to ‘fat camps’ and then when she would come back they would judge how much she was eating and be like “you don’t want to ruin all that hard work” not just at home but in front of people and it would have been awful and she’s done her best to come away from that but a lot of it stuck and i just wish she could see past it for her own kids but at the same time i’m sympathetic bc you can always have more leeway and see more of what’s wrong when it’s other ppl than yourself so she must really struggle too

i’ll probs stock up on l’oreal true match & l’oreal infallible foundations bc they are usually expensive. but i have no idea what else! i want more colourful eyeshadows so i’ll have to try shit out + check out the newer velourlip colours?
I own SO little eyeshadows from priceline, maybe I’ll have a look at it...idk, I own sooo much as it is so I’ll have to see what there is. models prefer is hit and miss w/their shadows but they’ve got some colourful stuff. there’s also those revlon singles that all connect to form a sort of palette style thing.
the newest velourlips are sooo nice, budapash, shanghai, and doobai are my faves. I forgot about them, might pick up another one of those two, maybe suss some australis lipsticks. also just remembered that rimmel have just released new matte apocalips!

What are you going to get???
models prefer have a new argan range so I wanna get the foundation and I think there’s a concealer too. I got the face powder last week even though I knew this was coming up, I couldn’t resist lol. not really a big fan of the smell but once it’s on and blended you can’t really smell it so meh.
I might just grab some of my basics that I know I’ll repurchase eventually?? there’s not really much out at the moment that I’m after tbh. maybe will pick up some liquid liners to try.
what about you?

Is your new place at least kind of nice or in a good spot???
yeah it's nice, better than here cause it's got 3 bedrooms (we have 2 here), the kitchen is nicer, it's only the bottom floor (we're on the top/third floor here), it's next to a train line (like you literally follow the train line down to get to the street), and it'll take me and mum about half as long to get to work (we both work basically in the same centre). so overall it's gr8 and an improvement. the only real down side is that it's a little bit on the small side, the bedrooms could be bigger, but we've pretty much solved the space issues by deciding what furniture goes where and that I'm probably getting a loft bed to accommodate for my furniture (not really ideal but it'll be fine for a while/until I can move out and then I'd take my current bed w/me).
