can i get something with stanpat or reddie with babies? pretty pretty pls! :D
B.............BAPIES.
“This is gonna be done in like... two minutes.”
“Richie... We’re betting on who can completely change a diaper first. Not who finishes first during sex.”
“Well, I’m gonna win both of those competitions.”
Stan rolled his eyes as Richie snickered at his own joke. Patty peered up from her magazine, her smile hidden behind the pages. He could tell she was grinning though - her eyes gave her away. They practically sparkled.
“Hey!” Richie snapped his fingers to get Stan’s attention once more.
On the long changing table, their boys were gurgling and staring in awe at... everything. Object permanence hadn’t quite kicked in, so everyday was a new adventure for little Jude and little Julian.
Eddie held out his phone beside them, his thumb over the button which would start the timer.
“Alright, guys. Three...” he said, watching his husband and best friend prepare themselves. “Two...” Exchanging a glance with Patty, he snickered and shook his head. Their spouses were nerds - and not even the sexy kind.
Maybe a little sexy.
“One, go!”
Richie swiftly snatched Julian’s diaper off, smartly holding it like a shield for when he peed. He was smart enough to know when Eddie or Richie were least expecting him to go; he’d gotten them four times each.
Stan wasn’t without hindrance. For most of the day, Jude lied as still as rock. He fell asleep while being fed; he was in no way active. Until he needed a diaper change. Kicking his tiny legs, he smiled up at Stan, fussing as soon as his legs were held still.
“Buddy, I can either hold these legs or you can get poop all over these cute socks,” Stan said. Richie snickered, already wiping Julian. “This isn’t fair; I’m on a handicap. Jude takes the biggest dumps- You don’t breastfeed, you-”
“Excuse you, my breast produces delicious milk-”
Stan retched and gagged, hiding his face in the crook of his arm. While he was distracted, Richie secured the fresh diaper on his son, lifting him up as he sang the opening song from the Lion King. Huffing, Stan tossed an unused wet wipe at Richie.
Bouncing Julian in his arms, he playfully patted his butt.
Then, in the beat of silence, everyone could hear Julian let out a tiny grunt, and a comical splatter. Richie could feel a new weight, warm in his palm.
“Buddy, did you just poop on me?” Richie asked, his voice soft. Julian’s eyes were closed. He was already fast asleep, and Richie and Eddie both knew he expected his diaper changed by the time he woke up.
vegal ! baby vega! how do you think stanpatchie finally get together? 🤭🤔
“Stan?” Patty spoke softly, catching her boyfriend’s attention, who hummed in response. “Do you love Richie?” He lifted his gaze from his textbook and tilted his head slightly.
“Of course I do. He’s my best friend.” He turned back to his assignment.
“No, I mean do you love him.”
“What do you mean?” Stan closed his book softly, making a mental note of the page number. Patty rolled her eyes, before shaking her head.
“You have to feel it, too.” His eyebrows furrowed, urging her to continue. “The way he… completes us.”
Stan thought for a moment, thinking back to all the times Richie made him laugh; made him feel comfortable; made him feel safe. He loved Richie, absolutely. The two of them have been best friends for as long as he could remember. Richie had been a part of his life, for all the ups and downs – Richie was a constant. But was he in love with Richie? He didn’t know.
“Do you?” Stan asked, his stomach in knots. Patty nodded slightly before speaking up.
“Yeah. I think I do.” She got up off the couch, making her way towards Stan. “But I still love you, too.” She grabbed both of his hands and held them close to her. “I love you so much.”
“I love you, too. Of course I do.” Stan started to relax a little, not understanding why he was so anxious in the first place. Richie was almost always with Stan and Patty while they were on a date and it never felt uncomfortable or awkward. The three of them melded so well together, always understanding each other without having to outright say everything. “And I think I understand what you mean.”
A smile broke out on Patty’s face, her eyes shining. “Really?”
“Yeah. I think I love him, too.”
*
Richie arrived on time – well, on time for Richie – at their apartment, with one hand balancing a pizza box. Patty opened the door and excitedly ushered him inside, whispering in his ear that she and Stan had something to tell him. He tried to get her to “spill the beans” but she mimed zipping her lips up and throwing away the key.
They ate the pizza, watching some stupid show they’re way too invested in and yelling animatedly at the screen, before Richie turned to them, eyebrows shooting up.
“So…?” He prompted.
“Hm?” Stan shifted his attention.
“What did you guys have to tell me? I’m dying to know.”
A smile pulled at Patty’s lips, waiting for Stan to nod before she spoke. “Well, you know how we always hang out?”
“Uh huh.” He leaned his head forward, eagerly waiting for her to continue.
“We were thinking,” she motioned towards Stan. “What if we wanted to date you, too?” Richie shook his head, his messy hair following the movement.
“I’m sorry? I don’t think I heard you correctly.”
“I think you did, Rich.” Stan piped in, a light laugh leaving his mouth.
“What do you mean date me?”
Stan rolled his eyes. “We like you, idiot. We both do.” Patty nodded, the smile still on her face.
“Is this one of my crazy sex fantasies? Am I dreaming?” Stan pinched Richie’s arm, laughing at his dramatic reaction.
“We’re serious, Richie. We really like you and we feel happier with you.” Patty said as she rubbed his upper arm lightly, a habit she’s developed when it comes to Richie.
“Yeah,” he breathed out. “Okay.”
“Really?” Patty almost jumped off the couch, her smile as wide as her eyes.
“I like you guys, too.” He quietly admitted, glancing towards Stan and Patty, but not quite reaching their eyes.
“Richie,” Stan started, but Richie shook his head again.
“Let’s see what happens.” A grin broke out on his face, certainty replacing the anxiety Richie felt before. “Does that mean I get to kiss you now?” He teased Patty, a giggle escaping her mouth.
“Beep beep, Richie.” Stan rolled his eyes, but it was said with a small smile.

=====
Patty groaned, carelessly dropping her tray of food on the table as she collapsed into the booth in exhaustion. She loved this spot, hidden in the corner of the cafeteria where no one would bother her and she could people watch as she pleased. It was always fun to watch other people interact with each other. Patty smiled, thinking about how nice it would be to actually make friends, to have someone to talk to while she ate. Instead, she sat alone, watching other people around her make friends.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want friends. She yearned to have any sort of connection with someone, to make a friend that she could confide in and rant to. Between classes and her jobs at the campus coffee shop and the 24-hour diner, she barely had enough time to sleep. Patty thought back to the start of her first year of college, when she had been asked out by a cute guy she had her eye on. His name was Richie, and he had the messiest curly hair and a goofy grin that she found adorable as fuck. Not only that, but he was funny as well.
Patty always noticed how he came to eat at the same time she did. She would sit in her little booth as always, and he would sit at a table a couple feet away, facing her. They catch each other looking at one another, exchanging shy smiles here and there. Sometimes he would even raise his glass at her or make funny faces that had her giggling like an idiot. Finally, one day, he had finally come over to talk to her, asking if he could sit with her. She agreed, nodding enthusiastically, excited to have someone she could talk to.
After that day, they sat together, getting to know one another little by little. It was nice, having someone to talk to between her busy schedule. She barely talked to her roommate, missing the opportunity to bond and form a connection with her due to her hectic work schedule, so Patty was happy to have Richie. That is, until one evening, when Richie shyly asked her out on a date. Patty had hated the look on Richie’s face when she had to turn him down. He made a joke about it, attempting to cover up how disappointed he was at being rejected, and they continued to talk as if nothing had happened.
Patty regretted it, hated that she had to say no because of her damn workload. If she had only been able to get that scholarship she needed, she could have more time to herself, to actually have fun and make friends and go on dates with cute boys like Richie. Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be, and soon Patty had gotten even busier, and she stopped meeting up with Richie for dinner. They’d never exchanged phone numbers, and after a couple of nights where Patty had to work through dinner, Richie stopped showing up their usual time. She thinks he probably thought she had ghosted him, but really, she hadn’t. He was so sweet and Patty was just so…busy.
Despite the missed opportunity to date a guy that she enjoyed spending time with, Patty appreciated that Richie had attempted to give her space and back off. She knew he probably stopped showing up because he might have thought he was making her uncomfortable, but he hadn’t, and she wished she could see him again.
She sighed as she stuffed her mouth full of pasta, trying to eat as quickly as possible so she could go back to her dorm and start working on her paper that was due soon. After working her ass off for a year and getting good grades, she had finally gotten a scholarship. That meant less work, but it also meant she still had to study hard and keep up her good grades. She looked up, eyes widening as her eyes landed on none other than Richie.
She coughed, dropping her fork to reach for her cup of water and take a sip, as a blush began to spread across her cheeks. ‘I really hope he didn’t notice me almost choke on my food.’ She continued to eat, this time a little slower, as she gathered enough courage to go and talk to him. If she didn’t do it now, who knows when she would have another opportunity to do so. Taking one last sip of water, she stood up, put on her backpack and picked up her tray. Slowly, she made her way over to Richie, smiling nervously at him once he noticed she was walking towards him.
“Hey,” Was all she could say as she stood awkwardly next to his table. “Mind if I sit here?”
“Uh- yeah, yeah sure go ahead!” He responded, sounding just as nervous as she felt.
She smiled again, gently placing her tray on the table and taking a seat. They sat in silence, both of them picking at their food. The silence was beginning to get unbearable and finally, she opened her mouth to say something, anything, but he beat her to it.
“Hey, Patty I just wanted to say I’m sorry.” He said as he adjusted his glasses, a move that she knew meant he was nervous. He had done it when he had first asked her out. “I mean, you know, for asking you out and like creeping you out or whatever.”
“Oh! No! No, Richie I-” She began, stopping to take a deep breath. “Listen, you didn’t-I was just-”
“You don’t have to explain yourself to me,” He said softly with a sad smile. “I just wanted to apologize is all.”
Patty closed her mouth, running a hand through her hair in frustration before deciding it was now or never. “Do you wanna go out on a date?”
Richie snapped his head up, eyes wide as he stared at her in shock. “That-That was not the way I thought this conversation would be going.”
“I really was busy,” she began, reaching over to put a hand over his own. “I think you’re super cute and funny and I want to get to know you better. I just-I had two jobs and was doing a full time course load and-ugh! It really ruined things between us and it sucks because-”
“Patty,” Richie interrupted her, turning his hand in hers to gently squeeze it. “When I said you didn’t have to explain yourself I meant it. My best friend Stan calls me trashmouth and I just wanted to make sure this mouth of mine didn’t get me on your bad side.”
“I love your trash mouth though,” she responded, grinning at him and sending him a wink that had Richie laughing in response.
“Congrats on being the only one to ever say that,” he said as he smiled dopily at her, a look that had her stomach fluttering like crazy.
“Soooo date?” She asked hopefully, giving him her best puppy dog eyes.
“Hell yeah!” he said as he shook his head enthusiastically. “I know this nice place on campus, many people go there and it has a wide selection of food to choose from. Get ready to be wined and dined, I’ll even use one of my guest swipes on you.”
118 . “i made the mistake of dating my roommate who cheated on me, so i’m throwing all their shit out of our dorm window and i’m sorry, i didn’t mean to hit you with their textbook”
send me a prompt from this list and a ship!

“Fuck! You!” Patty screamed, the words bouncing off the walls of the too tiny apartment, as she threw pieces of clothing and whatever else she could find out the window. “You! Fucking! Piece! Of! Shit!”
She collapsed to the ground, tears falling from her eyes, as she pulled her knees to her chest. She hated feeling like this – like she wasn’t good enough for anyone. Why, why, did she convince herself that dating her roommate would work out well? Patty knew it was a bad idea from the beginning, knew that it would end in heartbreak or in them tiptoeing around each other because neither of them can afford to find a different place. But this? Being cheated on? Patty felt like shit.
She used the sleeve of her sweater to wipe at her eyes and cheeks, lifting her head to see the damage she did to their apartment. Clothes were strewn across the floor and couch, papers and notes ripped and scattered. She threw out most of everything, her way of payback for what her now ex did. Standing up and wiping her hands on her legs, Patty’s eyes landed on a spine of a book, most of it being covered by a shirt.
She walked over to it, using her foot to nudge the piece of clothing to the side. A grin spread across her face as she recognized the the bright green cover of the book. It was for the one class her roommate struggled with, the one they always complained about and always went to study seminars for. Picking it up and running to the window, she let it fall out of her grasp, watching it as it fell towards the earth.
And then she noticed the person walking.
Her mouth couldn’t form a warning fast enough, and all she could do was watch helplessly as it hit the man’s head and bounced to the ground. Her eyes widened as the guy looked up to her, one of his hands rubbing the spot the book hit.
“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry!” She yelled down to him.
“It’s uh… it’s okay.” He offered a small smile, wincing slightly when his hand came across the sore spot. Patty motioned for him to stay put, before she quickly ran down the steps of the complex. He was still there, which was honestly a surprise to Patty, looking up at her window like he didn’t believe what happened. And Patty couldn’t really blame him.
“Hi, um, I am so sorry about that.” The words tumbled out of her mouth. “I swear I have a good reason for all of this.” She motioned to all of the stuff that was now laying on the sidewalk and road.
“For throwing a textbook at me?” Patty opened her mouth to protest, but the stranger laughed softly and she found herself relaxing a little. “I’m kidding.”
“How about I buy you a coffee? Make up for, you know.”
“Only if you promise to tell me that ‘good reason’ you have.” His smile grew and he winked at her, making Patty’s heart skip a beat.
“Deal.”
They walked to the nearest coffee shop, which, thankfully, was only a few blocks down the street. Patty started telling her story, her hands moving animatedly as the man – Richie – listened intently, only interrupting a few times to ask a question or say a bad joke. Once they sat down with their coffee in their hands, did she finish explaining everything.
“And that’s when you showed up.” She ended simply.
“And that’s when you assaulted me,” Richie corrected. She rolled her eyes, a small smile on her face. “Seriously though, that sucks. If it were me, I would’ve burned everything.”
“Maybe. But now they have to clean everything up.” Patty smirked, and Richie grinned at her.
“Ooooh, evil. I like that.”
They drank their coffee, sharing any crazy stories they had and talking about random stuff. Richie actually went to the community college about half an hour away from where Patty was studying, and he was still getting used to the city, moving here at the beginning of the school year.
“Well, if you ever want to be shown around town,” Patty bit her lip as she scribbled her name and number on the napkin, sliding it over to him. “Give me a call.”
“Will do.” Richie gave her a two finger salute and she giggled as she got up from the table.
“And, again, sorry about throwing a book at you.” She said with a smile.
“It’s all good,” He opened the door for her, following her out. They exchanged goodbyes as they went their separate ways. Patty needed to pack her stuff and find a friend’s to crash at for a while.
Later that night, she smiled as she got a call from Richie.
