Socially conservative Labourism is some trip. “None of that foreign muck for me, I’ll just wash down a bag of coal wi’ a warm can of Tetley”. Are the food shortages so bad that beans and lemons are middle class now? Not to mention the implicit idea that if you’re from a culture that routinely eats any of these pretty unremarkable foods, you’re not part of the “traditional” working class.

Even if we don’t know what it is yet.

Truth is not a democracy. It’s not determined by popular vote, preference or feelings.

Reality doesn’t care what you think. It just is. You either accept it, or you don’t. The latter is also called “delusion.”

When you listen to political speeches remember that a statement is meaningless unless someone can credibly argue the opposite. “We want to build a fair economy” means nothing, as no politician would ever say they want to build an unfair one.
