Field Effect Tones - Schaller Fuzz
weird shape Germanium Schaller Fuzz. The enclosure was a lamp ballast of some kind made in US. Inside, two Mullard transistors, one OC42 and one orange jacket OC45. All carbon comp resistors, all Philips capacitors and vintage bakelite knobs. It is fat but i will also cleans incredible well, very mids to bottom end. Actually, these transistors are a killer combo for any fuzz face variant. Anyway, if you like fuzz faces and what they do, you should try a Schaller Fuzz.

This song was on the repeats of old Top of The Pops episodes tonight and it kind of overwhelmed me how exuberant and optimistic this was for a group of young guys from Liverpool in 1983 at a time when things were very bleak, Thatcher was deliberately choking the city of funds and collapsing the job market, and their response isn’t defeatism, it’s “seeing the flowers scream their joy”.
