“Until it Sleeps” In Paulden Arizona off the old highway 89 you might run into a old rock house with a king like throne surrounding it’s mighty walls. It sits alone near the crest of Lake Sullivan. This is the hollowed out remains of the Prescott Sportsmen Club that never came to be due to Pearl Harbor & a missed placed dam. How, you ask? Well, when the dam was completed in 1937 to form Lake Sullivan, it was placed in the wrong area, resulting in to much run off slit from the rains that got deposited in the lake. This was only seen after they halted the project once Pearl Harbor happened on December 7th 1941 & America entered World War II & all WPA or Works Progress Administration projects we stopped.
