Day 10 A simple yet happy Sunday for Mumma and Ino. Today wasn’t perfect, woke up really late because Insomnia is here again. Not gonna lie, it’s convenient because I get to be wide awake to take care of Ino when he gets hungry or needs cuddles. Good thing I have my village with me in the morning. When I woke up in the afternoon I showed up for him. Read him all the books he wanted, danced with him when he wanted to dance, built small houses, played Airbender games with our farts, and introduced him to hippos! It’s important to rest moms. So when you take care of your little ones you’re able to give them your best without draining yourselves out. And I got rewarded by a tight hug (first time he did that to me). Best Sunday of 2021!!! Day 5 Mom guilt sinks in. Wasn’t a good day for me today. Couldn’t take care of you because of my foot plus I have loads of things to do for work. Mom guilt will probably worsen tomorrow when I go to work and leave you with daddy. But I say to myself repeatedly “I work so I can buy you nice things, and you can have a better future.”Doesn’t help make the mom guilt go away, but it shuts it up just enough for me to enjoy moments with you. Bonus clip of you last year with BabyZ. Your work/play is figuring out how to crawl or stay on your arms without falling flat on your face. Now, you’re learning how to put things together. Day 4 Monday came a knocking in the form of a not so gentle reminder that I’m no longer young. Hahaha! Landed wrong on my foot and sprained my already injured ankle while long boarding. I finished work fast so I could have afternoon playtime with the little man, but eagerness was my downfall. I had to push through the pain, so an ice bath to numb it and ang best friend ng mga middle aged, Salonpas for more numbing. I have to get well soon because the little guy is in a Zoomies stage. Lucky that most of the house is a yes place for him. Again, I have to thank my people, my village for helping with the little man. Day 3 Today, a rainy Sunday forced us to be still and appreciate indoors. And it finally sank in that you’re no longer a baby. You’re a toddler toddling around and making mumma and daddy chase you. From a year ago, chewing on your toy cars and me having to carry you anywhere I go, to now. Painting toy cars and me having to run with you anywhere you want to go. 💚 You never fail to amaze me my son. You’re ducking weird and awesome!
