Yeah, but do you think that most Americans know this? Hell, I don’t think that I knew what an umlaut was until high school, and only because my mom speaks German.

I’m almost wondering if it was some sort of PDF typo. (This PDF is riddled with them, and I don’t think that they’re part of the actual book, but rather, something to avoid being detected by Cast lawyers.)
