After breakfast, everyone began to mingle, waiting on Noah and Etta to arrive...

LOUIS- “Hi Paul, we didn’t really actually meet earlier. Nico has a tendency to take over situations...I am Louis.”

AT THE TABLE...

SARAH- “If it is a girl, I think we are going to name her Lauren Darby, after mom’s mother. And if it is a boy, We are going to name him Antonio Spencer, after daddy. He is such a great guy, and going to be such a great dad...”

NICO- “So what does he do for a living, or is he still in school?”

SARAH- “He graduated this year. He is older than you, by just a year. He works in his fathers business.  They are in commodity trading...something like that. I don’t understand all of it. But we are going to be moving to San Myshuno in a few weeks as Paul is going to take a bigger part of the business.”

AVA- “Oh, Sarah, that sounds exciting!  I am happy for you.”

NICO- “Yeah, real exciting...”

Nico didn’t sound excited, as he knew what Paul’s family business was. The moment he shook his hand, he learnt everything there was to know about Paul Salvatore and his family.

NICO- “I think you know EXACTLY where I am coming from, Paul.  I lived in San Myshuno.  The Salvatore Family are VERY well known throughout the city. They are one of two families that control most of the city.  The other is the Giobertti family that has been in control for decades.  To be honest, I don’t care what they do, or what your family does. What do concerns me is my sister is now part of your family.”

PAUL- “Trust me, Nico, it is not all about that. The Salvatore Family are not involved in any criminal activities.  Everything we do is legal.”

NICO- “Right.  I am sure you believe that. Like I said I don’t care. What I do care about is Sarah, and I will tell you once and only once. If my sister, or her baby are EVER hurt, or brought into anything that is going to hurt them, I WILL take care of it. Get my drift?”

PAUL- “I am not sure what you mean by all of this.  I would never do anything to hurt Sarah or OUR child. Nor would anyone in my family. I do appreciate your candor and concern for your sister, as I have three sisters, so I get that...but there is no reason to threaten anyone.”

NICO- “No threats, Paul.  Just statements. And as long as we have an understanding, I will be the best brother in law you have ever had. Okay?”

PAUL- “Okay...yeah. I guess.”

So, as soon as he had the chance Nico took Paul outside to chat....

NICO- “I thought maybe we could come out here and talk.  Meeting all of us at once can be quite stimulating, to say the least.”

PAUL- “Oh, I am used to it. Our family is loud and obnoxious, at least all of you seem a little less intimidating.  Sarah was very quiet when she met my family.  Except with my brother Stephan.  He is gay as well and they hit it off really well.  He is single by the way. I could introduce you...”

NICO- “Thanks, but I am not in into the market so to speak. I prefer to be single for the time being. I do not do well in large crowds either.  So about your family... I know what they do, Paul.”

PAUL- “What do you mean, what they do??”

NICO- “No reason to lie to me. I am sure my sister didn’t tell you everything about me, as she don’t really believe in it, but trust me.  I know what your family is into...business wise.”

PAUL- “I am still not sure I get where you are coming from, Nico.”

AVA- “SARAH!!  Oh my goodness look at you, glowing and showing!!”

SARAH- “Hi mom...hey everyone, this is Paul...my husband!”

PAUL “Hello Mrs. Browne...”

AVA- “It’s Boedell, I didn’t take my husbands name, but you, Paul can call me mom!  I mean you are family now!”

NICO- “Hi Paul, I am Nico. Sarah’s half brother. Nice to meet you. And the guy back there is Sarah’s twin, Louis. Welcome to the family.”

PAUL- “Thank you... Sarah has told me so much about all of you. I too come from a large family. I have seven siblings, but we are not as close as what you all seem to be.”

SARAH- “Hey boys...come on, Grandpa and Grandmother Etta are here....And Nico, don’t be trying to steal my husband, he is all mine, but he does have a really awesome gay brother.  I think the two of you would really hit it off.”

NICO- “Yeah, Paul told me about him.  I’m good.  Thanks for the chat Paul, it was good getting to know you.”

PAUL- “Sure...anytime, Nico...”

NICO- “Well, it’s time to meet more of the family Paul, we should get in.”
