Shocked and sadden to hear of Paul Woods passing Thursday September 29th from a motorcycle accident. Paul was an instrumental figure to the success of 105 Pioneer st. back in the day. He taught us a lot about how to lay out a room for sound. Not only did Paul help with the sound for Pioneer, he was an inspirational person who contributed a lot of creativity to the space. Loved to hear his stories and oral history of the Bay Area music scene. We were pleased to have his band, Purple Mercy play at Pioneer, including the 1 Year Anniversary Show with Mikal Cronin. Paul was missed from the Bane Shows family once he moved out of state, but he gave us more knowledge and passion then we know what do with. Paul Woods will be greatly missed from this world.
