Electricians working at a family home have been praised for their heartwarming gesture after creating a payslip for a five-year-old boy who "hounded them with constant offers of help".
Mum Laura-Nicole Anderson shared a post on Twitter to say her little boy Theo was "chuffed to bits" with his first ever pay packet, saying it "filled her heart with so much joy".
An image of the payslip the workers from Hull-based firm Seytons Electrical created and printed off has gone viral, gaining more than 120,000 likes after being widely shared on social media.
Laura-Nicole wrote:
"The sweetest act of kindness from the electricians that Theo has hounded with questions, kindness and constant offers of help while they worked. Thank you Seytons Electrical, you made his day!!"
The payslip, dated March 26, stated the employee's name as Theo and gave a full breakdown of how he had earned his £15 wage, which they gave as cash in the envelope.
It reads:
'For completion of the follow jobs:
Measuring of items - £1.50
Counting and adding up number of sockets - £1.50
Catering (yummy cookies) - £1.50
Excellent volunteering - £1.50
Quality assurance (asking lots of questions) - £9.'
After the post was flooded with comments, Laura-Nicole joked that it was a good job the electricians didn't mind working with an audience and added:
"Someone I know said Theo showed such lovely kindness and kindness found its way back to him! I thought it was so beautifully put."
