okay hello hi Im finally getting around to this.. let me compile

first off for the basics how can you not. The Parallels. alba and payton as the successors of the maya dori title fight. even of sewis, if you want. the mercedes ferrari is a classic thing, of course. and they get along well

they're similar in how they got into racing too, and it all being a more recent development. I think that's something they can bond over, the way they both ended up just kinda getting thrown into this very public world. there is a lot of hype surrounding them both, payton's more quiet and alba's very loud (to the point where it's starting to hurt alba's public image, even). they have a decently secure future in their backing teams. they're a similar age. lots of bonding and supporting potential #tome

all the facts out there, now I am very Tickled by how payton's persona seems very non existent. she's awkward. she's monotone. she holds her body like someone her age and without media training would. compare that to alba who, despite the little years of being in the spotlight, is always presented as perfectly polished. always seen in clips of getting dressed up, of getting her hair and make up done. she's not even necessarily more eloquent or less monotonous than payton - though a lot of the time that seems to be more of a non native speaker thing than anything else - but you can tell that she is always trying to make up for that so, so hard. as someone who has followed her since she was small and just getting started in karts it hurts a little I cannot lie because you just know where all that is coming from ultimately, that it's pressure weighing down. and that's why, on the other hand, someone like payton, who is seemingly (either) allowed to (/or allowing herself to) be a little more awkward and still just as charming is so interesting, and so good. they have so much that is, on paper, making them the same, all these parallels, but when you then put them actually next to each other, they seem worlds apart. also literally in location lol. and I think they deserve to bridge that gap just a little. to get beautifully, shyly in love with it. payton getting to see that other end of things, of realizing that it's maybe not all greener over there and it's just fine to be a little awkward, to still be growing into herself. and alba seeing that it's ok and even good to be payton (because she is a little in love with her and how can payton not be ok if alba's heart beats a little faster in her chest every time payton is around?), to not have written books at age 15 and founded non profit organizations at 16 and won fia awards at 17 and to always be travelling and always be testing (and then still maybe not even seeing the results she wants). I think there are so many great ways you can spin this and go with this. payton who loves pineapples and cowboy boots and hats and purpose built circuits and austin and her dad who is always around supporting her. with her bangs #herbangs. and alba who loves racing and fashion (questionmark?) and photography and also payton. platonically. also I think payton should get to wear cowboy boots more. not paytalba related just my two cents. and ok that's my paytalba thoughts #sendtweet #pleasedonotcrucifyme

then they clearly like each other from the few social media posts we've seen. that whole clip of payton on alba's lap as they rid the golf cart around and they literally cannot be serious about anything at all. hooookay. me when I have a blonde girl best friend whom I am obviously crushing on.
