❝ it’s chilly out here, you need a coat. take mine. ❞
Boyoung could’ve sworn the forecast did NOT predict rain and wind and… whatever this mess was. How could they have screwed up so bad? There was no mistaking the strong gusts of wind mixed with… everything that was light enough to fly… She wasn’t just going to get soaked, she was a tiny human being, she was probably going to join the flying objects. Who knows, maybe it would send her to some other kingdom and she was going to have to kill a witch to find her way back home.
She sighed profusely. There was never another day that she’d wished her shift was longer. It was quiet that time of night anyway, it was almost peaceful. Especially in this weather. There hadn’t been a customer in hours. But nope, it was time to close up shop soon, and she was going to have to face the storm in her thin, autumn outfit.
❝ it’s chilly out here, you need a coat. take mine. ❞
She practically jumped. Was it that loud outside that she hadn’t noticed the front door ring? No, she was probably just too distracted imagining herself fighting for her dear life against this storm. Were there going to be any buses running that evening in this weather? She sure hoped so… she really couldn’t afford a taxi or uber or whatever other means of transportation there was. At least, the one good thing was that the chances of her being throttled by some stranger asking for money that night were very low.
“How did you know? I mean… you’re back! In this weather?!” She supposed he lived nearby. Ever since this tall young man helped her that one night when she accidentally blew some fuse and the store turned pitch black, she began noticing his presence. He did come earlier too, right when she was about to start her shift. Maybe that’s how he knew she wasn’t properly dressed for this weather in the least.
“I’ll be fine though, thank you. But seriously, whatever recipe you’re trying to make, can’t it wait? Like… please stay safe tonight, okay?”
