Hey i know i havent been active but...
Soon i'll be half a year on T. Starting HRT is the best healthcare decision i have ever made.
Positive changes I expirienced:
-voice change, facial and body hair, body odor change, bottom growth, more muscle, vienier hands and feet, no more periods
Negative changes I expirienced:
-drastic increase in acne, especially body acne
If youre worried about PCOS affecting your change at starting T, here's what I recommend: connect with the trans community in your area, and ask what endocronologists/doctors they recommend! Usually there is a small handful of endocronoligists/doctors that have a good reputation within trans circles and are expiriences with trans patients. Once you go to a doctor with a lot of expirience with trans patients, you can ask them if PCOS will be affected by starting T.
Every day i am so grateful to be on T. It just feels right for my body and right for me. I hope all of my fellow trans people with PCOS keep fighting, keep being strong, and keep having hope.
Well, that's all from me. I will continue to be super inactive now. Just wanted to spread some trans joy :)
Me irl: i dont want to talk about my primary or secondary sex characteristics. It makes me uncomfortable.
Me on here: so anyways my ovaries SUCK ASS
Gender Dysphoria and PCOS
I feel like... something that more people should talk about is trans people with PCOS and how gender dysphoria can affect our ability to get help.
For many trans peeps, things like visiting the doctor is incredibly dysphoria triggering. Doctors visits most likely mean hearing your deadname, being misgendered, and being asked questions about your anatomy.
I've gotten lots of messages from trans people who think they might have PCOS/another reproductive system issue, and the main reason they've been holding off on visiting the doctor is the gender dysphoria.
If you're dealing with this, pleaseee take care of yourself. I know gender dysphoria is a bitch, but take care of your health too.
Don't call yourself a good transgender ally if your discussions about PCOS aren't trans inclusive!
Yes, I'm looking at you, blogs who assume that everyone with PCOS hates their facial hair bc it's "not feminine" 👀
@ Trans guys and nb ppl and transmasc ppl who have PCOS..... hang in there my dudes you're not alone. Wether you have cysts or not, wether you talk about your PCOS or not, wether you take birth control or not, wether you plan to have a hysterectomy or not.... you're valid. And I support you !!

PCOS
Its not just a overweight woman crying over acne.
Its not just a heterosexual couple trying to get pregnant.
Its not just a white woman on a fancy low-carb diet.
Its not just cisgender women distressing over facial hair.
All kinds of people have PCOS. Not everyone has the same experience.
