Seeing the female in person reminded him of the time her group was under fire for apparently making “claims” which involved EXO. At that time, they were stuck in the haze of promotions for their different releases, some shows they guested on here and there, and the year-end events at which they performed. Constant threads and comments on the internet piqued his interest in an undoubtedly negative way, so he consulted the management. Was he allowed to comment on this issue? Definitely not. He was told that it wasn’t good for them, since they really were at the peak of their promotions. Anything beyond their focus just wasn’t to be welcomed. So, he kept quiet.

Truth be told, he had a lot to say. Because for one, it truly wasn’t the girls’ fault; they had said nothing, and was only compared by managements. Secondly, why was it suddenly wrong to be given titles? He found it cool and funny, he still does. The two groups shared the same outer-space concept, only theirs had always been executed with a tinge of cuteness. And that’s exactly what he’s saying right now, as they’re having a totally-coincidental lunch together. “I really didn’t understand. Cause, to be honest, I agree with them. You guys are the female EXO.” Soft laughter soon follows.

Chanyeol was woken up by loud banging against his door. He knew it was just one of his members so he remained buried deep in his multiple layers of blankets, but the sounds soon escalated to perhaps a couple of decibels higher, and so he definitely had no choice but to will himself out of bed. It was absolutely brutal, the treatment; but they’re brothers, and this kind of thing was of a regular occurrence at the dorms, and had been going on for years. It wasn’t gonna matter later. With the angriest (also most fake) expression in the history of EXO, he went over to open the door, only to get reminded of why he was woken up in the first place. Fast forward to when he was finally all dressed up and ready to leave, he was panicking around his room in search for the thing he was going to bring. It was essential -- the very reason he was even leaving; It was in his bag of valuables on the way home from Paris. Taking a quick break (yet still in a state of panic), he sat on the edge of his bed and dug into his pocket for his phone, quickly sending some text messages to the person he was meant to meet.

"Mmm...” Tough question. His eyebrows wrinkle, as do his lips. He doesn’t quite know if he’s in the mood for the first, or the latter -- would the batter taste better flat, or with texture? Since he’s still deciding, he continues to stir the mixture thoroughly, hugging the bowl close to his tummy even as he turns his head towards the elder, who’s gathering more food by the fridge. “I dunno..depends on what he likes. What do you guys usually eat in the morning, hyung?” As if to punctuate his own question, he gives the batter one last stir before retracting his gaze, and letting go of the whisk, looking down at how beautiful his creation is. He just feels really happy to be able to help with this surprise breakfast the elder wanted to pull off. Especially since he’s set to leave soon, for the continuation of their tour.

“I think we, uh.. I think we should go with pancakes. They usually do that with whipped cream and some fruits.” Yes, slow nods, great at ideas as always, Chanyeol.. A little smile takes over the younger’s face as he coaxes out one last idea, after which he turns around completely, already having crossing his arms. “How about pineapples? Has anyone ever tried that?”

"Waah?! Really?!” The rapper all too suddenly leans closer as if in utter shock, hands gripping the male’s shoulders, his own face contorted animatedly. “I haven’t showed it to you? Wow..” This little act is short-lived, though, as, disregarding his member’s possible reply, he proceeds to get up before disappearing to his room, only to come back about fifteen minutes later. He returns with a thick notebook in his arms, the earlier expression on his face having been replaced with something of genuine excitement.

“Here. Uhh, well, actually-- it’s not just one song. It’s actually five.” Nervous. He feels nervous. It’s the new feeling that settles in his stomach - it, sitting right beside excitement as he’s right next to his member. His set of fingers are flipping through the pages of his composition notebook, quite frankly getting lost as he’s written maybe over a hundred songs already. He shouldn’t even be feeling nervous about showing new material, but it’s been a while and --- “Oh! I have idea. I don’t think we have schedules until...9 PM? Why let you read when I could just..let you hear them. ‘Already pre-recorded them anyway.”

“Really?! Pistachio is nice, noona.. what else don’t you like? I’ve already suggested lots of ice cream flavors.. what to do..” The giant sounded like an offended 10-year old, even having thrown his arms out in defeat once finished with his sentiments. His shoulders then slumped rather dramatically as they began to walk down the pavement, not too cautious of their surroundings, seeing as it was 5 in the morning. Besides, even if it was later, they were both completely dressed up to be discreet.

This was the first time they were finally able to hang out together. And although at first he felt really shy in her presence (which was a surprise), he became comfortable easily. She wasn’t exactly even remotely close to being intimidating. Just like him, she was a ray of sunshine. “Soooo...after Ice Cream what else should we try? There’s this place nearby that one where they sell crepes. Y’know, the ones with ice cream inside? Pancakes, with fruits and such?”

A deep conversation with a nice cheeseburger is definitely something Chanyeol would be involved in. In fact, that day, it was a whole meal complete with a large drink, and large fries. Initially, all he came for was a little bite. A little bite, a few minutes.. But the sudden phone call from his manager hyung about a sudden cancellation of schedules made him do otherwise. So, there he was, seated at the very end of the fast food chain at four in the morning. Who even knew they served that kind of food at 4 in the morning? He finally did, thankfully.

With a half-finished cheeseburger in his hands, and a mouthful of food, he spoke to his fries as if they would talk back. None of the staff seemed to mind - his voice was rather quiet, lest his worries become heard. They also didn’t seem to freak out over the fact that it was him, Park Chanyeol. As always, he was in his world, so anything beyond, was nonexistent for the time being.

Now, topic of choice? His writer’s block. The rapper talked about one of his main sources of stress as of late - and no, he definitely wasn’t a stranger to it. It was just different from the ones he’d experienced in the past; none of his trips worked, walking around seemed useless. What he didn’t expect, though, was for a stranger to come over and sit beside him. He was expecting silence after pouring his heart out, but he, instead, suddenly heard a soft voice come from beside him. The poor man almost jumped, instantaneously sliding farther away from said sound. His shoulders had raised raised themselves in an almost comical manner, shock etched into his face. “O-oh, I-- O-of course, aah.. I’m sorry, was I..talking too loudly? Aigoo...you startled me..”

If it wasn’t for the way Jongdae looked so sickly, Chanyeol would’ve already gone out to enjoy with the rest of the group. After all, a free Friday meant a day of enjoyment outside - possible roadtrip, maybe a movie.. But he insisted on staying, unable to peel his attention away from his member who had been laying around on the couch all night and day. The once-strong plan to encourage him out of the dorms, had been easily replaced by worry, and the need to take care of him, as if he were a sick baby who had no absolute energy to move. The fact that the male was 2 months older than him, was irrelevant.

“Aish… what did you even do last night? You’re so wild and you don’t even take me with you lately…tsk.” So there he was, sat on the floor, just by the foot of the couch. He had in his lap, a pillow, and a warm towel, one of his arms soon brought up to feel the latter’s forehead with the back of its hand. Oh God, it’s hotter. “Omo-” Of course, taken aback by the drastic change in temperature, the rapper let out a little gasp, the expression on his face contorting rather comically. “Stay here, stay here.” Next thing he knew, he was getting up and running towards his hyung’s room for some first aid.

The last time they got together was for SBS Gayo Daejun. It was a total surprise to him at first; he had no prior interaction with both girls, and he’d always been a huge, huge fan of 10CM. Every time they’d practiced, he would just be his usual bright self, even taking the time to prepare meals for each of them, prior. Fast forward to their actual performance, they made proud not only their fans, but their managements as well. They only served to help prove that inter-management collaborations could be the root of successful projects. And of course, even after all of that, he stayed in touch.

There they were, months later, headed towards his studio for a casual jam session. Chanyeol called her up in the morning asking if she was free, and it took her a while to answer at first, but it turned out she was. He just couldn’t help but bring about the idea to collaborate, seeing as he’d always been a huge fan of her group, and her alone. He saw this as an opportunity.

“Well this thing I was gonna let you hear.. I wrote it over a year ago. Not quite finished the lyrics yet, but the music has been composed and produced.” The EXO member casually explained as they walked down the hallway, carrying the latter’s guitar case with him. Deep down he was nervous. Did he even remember to clean up before taking her there?
