First 7 pages of my comic, D13. Or District 13. Or Metro: District 13. I dunno, title is still working, but for now I am leaning toward short and sweet. D13 is basically Sanford and Son meets Cyberpunk; a kind of cozy, low-stakes urban sci-fi -- the story centers on a Sway and his Uncle Scrapper ("Unc" for short) who come to a forgotten city on a some back-water corporate hell planet to solve a corporate conspiracy and find out what exactly happened to his parents, who were once high-paid executives. Part mystery, part comedy, part sci-fi "Fish out of Water" story.
After about a year of quietly working away at this, I'm happy to say that I am finally on track to getting part 1 finished; drawing, inking, and coloring took a long time, but ultimately, the writing and re-writing has been the biggest time sink! I can't tell ya'll how many times I re-wrote and re-drew panels.
For now, I am wrapping up the coloring on the final 13 pages [20ish pages total for part 1], then I get the website up, post it, and be well under way with the artwork for part 2, which will have regular updates on the site -- I want to get this point by the end of the year and finally get this thing going!
