for: @peachcav location: sage’s apartment, downtown ithaca
Four drinks in and Sage’s pace had more sway in it than purpose, and the paintbrush in her grip dripped fuchsia onto the wooden planks of her apartment floor. The canvas that the two of them laboured over was starting to look less like anything tangible and more like a Pollock, but the laughter that streamed from her lips was real enough to make up for the mess. Her bright gaze turned to Peach, and she let out a sound of delight, leaning into her friend to brush her thumb against a high cheek bone. “You’ve got paint there,” she chided, though the gesture did nothing more than smear the cerulean onto her skin. “I’m making it worse,” Sage lamented, reaching with her other hand (also covered in paint) to steady her hold on her best friend’s jaw. Her touch brought a mandarin orange onto the palette of Peach Cavanaugh, before she buckled forward slightly, giggling. “Maybe I should give up while we’re ahead?”
