Peach and The Quest To be Assertive! ((Part 2))
Was that even the title?…hm…whatever should be close enough. ———————- Peach’s eyes flutter open. She gets out of bed. She smiles and looks in her mirror. “Assertive,” she murmurs to herself as she changed. Peach jogs downstairs and looks at the door. Why not? A walk in town would be nice! Peach skips out the door and walks into town. People are laughing and talking. Vendors are advertising as customers bought. Peach smiles. She was hungry…waffles maybe! Peach smiles and notices the diner Avian works at. She smiles and skips in the diner. She looks around for him. Avian comes out from the kitchen. Customers smile and cheer as they see Avian balancing all the plates and bowls. Avian smiles and sets down the plates and bowls on the customers’ tables. He set them down swiftly yet cautiously. People clap, and smile. Avian smiles at all of them and heads for the back of the counter. Peach smiles and walks up to the counter. “They seem to really like you Avian!” Peach smiles. “I’m always trying to make this a happy place where customers are always smiling and eating happily!” Avian smiles and looks at the happy people. “I guess they like me so much they keep coming back…” Peach giggles. She looks at the people eating happily. She falters a little. Avian is idolized and adored because he’s assertive and caring…he was headstrong and wasn’t afraid to show his true self during work. Peach smiles. A small female with curly white hair and tiny horns poking through them pushes past the kitchen doors. Peach swoons. She’s never seen anyone so cute! The small female had bright blue eyes and her bottom lip was bright red. Her cheeks were rosy pink and she was pale. She looked delicate like as if she were to break at a simple touch. She was covered in batter and frosting. “A-Avian…” She says silently. “I-I need help…” Avian smiles and sighs. “Okay. But first clean up!” She nods and cleans off with a towel. Avian smiles. “Bring the cake here,” “Okay,” she replies softly. She walks back into the kitchen and returns with a cake. Peach stares hungrily. She hands him the frosting dispenser. ((I honestly have no idea what it’s called! It’s like a white bag that you put frosting in! It dispenses out from the bottom through a metal piece and i-…you know what forget it I renamed it! frosting dispenser!)) Avian begins to demonstrate how you put on the frosting to the girl. “Do you understand now Angel?…” asks Avian. Angel shakes her head. “I think I should leave the frosting to Eddy and Charles…” Angel says silently looking up at Avian. “I don’t think you can help me. I’m hopeless,” Peach’s eyes widened at what Angel said. She sounds just like…”NO!” Peach stands up quickly knocking over the stool she was sitting on. “YOU’RE NOT! You just needa try and try till you get it!” Peach smiles. “If you fail at what you wanna do, then don’t call yourself hopeless! Just find something that’s suitable for you!” Angel smiles at Peach. She giggles. “Avian-San who is she?…she’s awful nice…” Angel says looking up at Avian. Avian smiles happily. “That’s Peach! She’s super nice indeed! She’s very helpful and helped me a lot in my life…” Peach giggles. She liked being called helpful because that meant she was doing something! Angel smiles. “Avian can I get blueberry waffles please?” Peach asks. “Right away!” Avian pushes the kitchen door open slightly and yells into the room: “LORAINE! Blueberry waffles!” Peach smiles. Avian smiles at Angel. “Why don’t you sing to the customers Angel-San?” “Okay…” Angel smiles happily and walks over. She stands in front of the customers. They smile at her as if they knew she was going to sing. Peach smiles waiting for Angel to sing. Angel began to sing a happy jingle: “When you feel down! There is no need to frown! Fall down to your knees? Oh get up please! Because life can give ya a lemon or a lime! It doesn’t really matter just don’t waste your time! I’ll be here all the way! Don’t be in dismay! Stand up tall! Did you fall? So what!? You stood tall and faught! No one should put you to shame! For after all you’ve done the best at your game! Everyone falls down but the best you can do is…” She takes a deep breath. “You’re BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEST!” Peach and the diners applaud. Peach falters. Another person who was assertive…someone else who was more headstrong than her…Angel was so shy! How could she stand so bravely in front of the crowd?…Peach sighs. Avian puts down her waffles and he smiles. Peach forces a smile on her face and thanks Avian. “No need to pay Peach, ill have my manager take it out of my pay,” Avian smiles. “A-Ah Avian no!” Peach says. “It’s okay!” He says trying not to laugh. “Just eat up and be happy!” Peach smiles. “Okay…” She takes a bite from her waffle. She smiles. It was delicious! “Arigato! This is delicious! Compliments to the chef!” “Why thank ya darlin!” Says a tall western accented female. Her bright red hair was tied back and she was holding a plate of cookies. “This is Loraine! Loraine this is Kito’s kid sister Peach!” Avian says in his bubbly voice. Loraine giggles and looks over at Peach. “She’s a mighty cute! Ain’t she? Ah think yeh deserve a cookie!” Loraine says placing a cookie on Peach’s plate. Peach giggles. “Arigato!” “She’s a spitting image of Kito! Chip off the ole block,” Loraine says nodding. Angel comes back to join Avian and Loraine behind the counter after finishing her song. “Ah just loved that voice of yers Angel!” Loraine says smiling. “Arigato Lori!” Angel says smiling. Peach smiles. This seemed to be a very happy establishment. “Was it always this happy?” Peach asks picking up the cookie. “No it wasn’t really that happy round these parks if it weren’t for Avian!” Loraine says grinning. “We were low on customers and we all thought about quitting…that is until Avian came along…” Angel smiles. “He lit up this place faster than an active bonfire!” Loraine says quickly snapping her fingers. “Aw geez…I didn’t do much…” Avian says blushing. “So modest!” Loraine laughs hitting Avian’s chest a little. “Yet so stubborn!” He laughs and so does Angel. Peach giggles. These guys were such a cute trio! She wondered if there was more workers that Avian associated with in this manner but then her cellphone rang. ((I really wanna write more on these guys…hmm maybe some other time :3)) She picks it up. It was her Onii-San Kito. “Hey Kito-San! What’s up?” Peach asks. “I need you to come home soon Peach,” Kito says sternly. Peach was worried about his tone. “Okay Onii-San…” She says. Peach hangs up her phone and looks at Avian who just looked plain worried. “It’s nothing bad Avian! I’ll see you guys later!” Peach smiles and waves. They wave goodbye happily as Peach exits the door. Peach ran down the cobblestone ground her flats making noises against them. Peach wondered why her brother Kito was asking her home so early. Did she do something? Or was their something wrong? Peach sighs and keeps running. She’ll just have to find out…
