blood was something that peyton never held much importance to. she’d rather chosen family over the ones that tend to disappoint. with negligent parents who view money as means of affection, it’s no wonder why peyton never talks about her family. let’s take a look inside her photo album and see that there is to find.

mother: presley ainsworth. married. fifty-three, from what we gathered. now you see when she gets those beautiful auburn locks of hers. very few pictures of her with peyton. but there are a lot of beautiful portraits of her mother, almost as a point of admiration. unemployed trophy wife and loving it. judging by the childhood pictures in comparison to more recent images, she likes plastic surgery.

father: eugene ainsworth. married. fifty-four according to his wikipedia page. owner of ainsworth enterprise and ainsworth hotels. only one image found. a faceless image on him and peyton holding hands when she was a child. it’s almost impressive how she’s removed all traces of him but this one image remains. presumably symbolism for peyton wanting innocence again. 

sister: audrey ainsworth. twenty-one. student. tons of pictures of the pair together. from cute skating pictures throughout the years or matching halloween costumes, it clear these girl are inseparable. 

cousin: juliette ainsworth. not too many pictures of these two together but from what we can see, it’s always been a competition between these too. constantly competing for the lens, to be center of attention. it doesn’t surprise me based on their conflicting and bold personalities. as  they’ve grown older, they do have some cute selfies together so maybe they get along sometimes.

dog: mango. four years old. mango is back home in san francisco. mango was a stray when peyton found her when she was twenty-one and home from college for the summer. mango is a pampered princess and there were many polaroids and snapshots of this pooch. we should get mango to peach hollow asap.

there’s one photo that noah has of his birth family, and he doesn’t know why he keeps it around. it’s one of those newspaper articles praising him and natalie for something they had no say in, and matthew is laid up in a hospital bed. noah wishes he didn’t blame matthew, knew that he was just a kid too. but nothing was taken from him, just from noah and nat. every time, noah’s eyes are drawn to his mother’s lifeless eyes, his father’s hand on his shoulder. he remembers the bruises, he remembers the doctors. the memories of mark and lily maynard are perfumed with antiseptic and the metallic taste of blood in his mouth. natalie is the only one who’s smile doesn’t make his stomach turn. he remembers being twelve, the last night they were together before natalie got adopted and left noah in the system. he didn’t blame her, even if it hurt. they were each other’s shadows, there were no secrets. noah didn’t know how to go on without nat, didn’t want to, but if she had a chance at a better life then he was happy for her. hearing that he was being adopted felt like he was hallucinating. it was one of the furthest things from his mind, being fifteen. he wasn’t keen on being taken away from nolan and ana but they had their bracelets and addresses and numbers, they’d be okay (they would not). rayen was a nice last name, and iris and denise were nice people. he could tell they wanted to be mothers, but he could never figure out why they picked him. there was concern it was because of his past, that the two socialites could parade him around as some rescue case. that wasn’t the truth though. noah didn’t have to go to any events he didn’t want to, and they supported him through anything that he wanted to do. it took fifteen years, but he found a home in that green house in jersey with his moms and their dog.
