nomad steve is the best steve
He is definitely one of my favorite Steves. Definitely more Steve than he was during the Avengers movies. I think Nomad Steve might have been the most himself since he got the serum. He's flying around with his team in clear violation of the Accords, helping people and choosing his own missions, nobody telling him what to do 😤
The drama! the flair! the confidence! the panache! He could have let the spear fly over his shoulder but no he had to catch it in the most dramatic way. He might as well have added one of his signature flips 😂
The general fuck-all attitude! He really told Thaddeus Ross to go fuck himself in the most polite way possible 😎
Not to mention his grody suit with the rolled-up sleeves and the torn-off star and the burnt-off patches (revealing the classic Captain America scales??!). That suit looks so dirty omg. It needs a good washing and mending. I'm sure Shuri offered to give him a new suit several times or at least repair the current suit but he’s like nah I’m good. He'll take a new shield harness though! He doesn't need a new shield, just the harness is fine! it's so Bucky can have something to grab onto during conjugal visits Also going around without the mask with the big A on the forehead, what you see is what you get and what you get is no holds barred STEVE ROGERS
And of course the beard and the slicked back hair!! Thankfully he kept the beard trimmed and didn't go full mountain man I don't think Bucky would have stood for it, he probably gave Steve the hair gel but he would have fully been in his rights to do whatever the fuck he wanted.
He is such a far cry from the sad and lonely and confused Steve after The First Avenger, the Steve who was struggling to find himself in The Winter Soldier, and the Steve who was ready to resign and step away from superheroing altogether in Civil War. He’s got his team, he’s got his Bucky, he’s got his safe haven (thank you Wakanda!), he’s really come into his own, and I’m so proud of him.
