David continuing to rock the peaked lapels! I love the black and red, it’s giving Crowley vibes and I’m so here for it
I do wish it was more sparkly, but the sparkles are what keep killing me, so maybe this is for the best 😂

Navy chalk stripe peaked lapels SB suit by B&TAILOR
Okay so all the way back in October when I was putting together my Crowley cosplay, I went thrifting and found a black blazer with peaked lapels, and it was very Crowley, but it's a cosplay, and those get so expensive so fast! This one didn't have an interior pocket, and I don't think normal people pay this much attention to lapel shape, so I decided it was fine to skip buying it and wear the blazer I already have, despite its notched lapels. Not a big deal, right?
But then in November, David wore this absolutely gorgeous custom embellished tux to the 2023 Evening Standard Theatre Awards that was my favorite thing he's ever worn (pre-BAFTA) and it gave me the urge to embellish/bedazzle one. And I fought off that urge for months because look how many beads there are!! That's a massive project!
But now that David killed me twice in one day with those damn peaked lapels and fucking sparkles, I have to do it. I have to. (I even have an event coming up where I could wear it!) But because I didn't buy that one in October, now I have to wait until I have a chance to go thrifting again and idk when that will be, and seeing as there's somewhere I could wear it and that involves a deadline, I need to get started asap and omfg why am I stressed over this.
Anyway, have some pictures of David (plus bonus Georgia and Michael) making me feel things about lapels because they're pretty and I'm losing my mind over here

Was chatting with my brother, whose looking into a tux, and apparently went and did the research on what suit he likes, what makes a tux a tux. This lead to me googling "peaked lapels" because that was something he mentioned.
Meanwhile, this photo was a love of a menswear photograph, even if it's not close to a tux. Does have a peaked lapel, but the pretty double-breasted jacket is in such cheery spring-like pinstripes, I'm sure it's not quite the thing for black tie.
It is completely suitable for a Gatsby-theme gala, or even a vintage loving wedding, though.
