here’s a rant no one asked for about you’re a good man charlie brown/dog sees god

so i absolutely adore the peanuts and i love you’re a good man charlie brown so fucking much. and i love all of the little quirks the characters have and how charlie brown is just a depressed eight-year old who can’t do anything right and he tells his pen pal everything but they never write back and people still like him and say he’s a good man. because none of that matters to them. i love how linus is the therapist friend and gives really good advice and is ridiculously smart and yet loves his sister and follows her around and carries a stupid blanket with him everywhere because sometimes you just need a security blanket. and i love the way the musical works where it feels like a year but also one day at the same time. and nothing changes. and that’s ok.

and i love how dsg takes all of their little flaws and exaggerates them and takes all of the wholesome shit from you’re a good man and just says fuck it and throws it out and just leaves the raw emotion.
