March 8, 1720 - The Nobility All Attest the Healing Power of Horse Balls
The Cordial Horse-Balls, at 4s. per Pound, which in 20 Years Experience have been found by many of the Nobility, &c. to be a Specifick Remedy for any Sickness or malignant Cold, Surfeit, Gripes, Loss of Appetite, Worms or Butts[? vowel is illegible]. Also the extraordinary Preparation of Antimony, at 5s. per Pound, which cures Greased Heels, prevents all Humours[? partially illegible] falling to and Stiffness in the Limbs after hard Riding, dissipates all Knots and Swellings, purifies the Blood, preserves the Eyes, destroys all Worms, answers all the Ends of Purging, with many other peculiar Virtues better experienced that expressed; [It’s?] only prepared and sold by Sam. Gibson, Druggist, at the [Angel?] and Crown in Lombard street, with Directions.
