These adorable Marshmallow Peeps Rice Crispy Nests are a fun and delicious Easter treat. They are easy to make and perfect for kids and adults alike. The colorful Peeps and chocolate eggs add a festive touch to these sweet and crunchy nests.
Ingredients: 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal. 1/4 cup unsalted butter. 4 cups marshmallow Peeps about 24 Peeps. 1/2 cup mini chocolate eggs or jelly beans. Cooking spray.
Instructions: Spray cooking spray inside a muffin tin and set it aside. Heat the unsalted butter in a big microwave-safe bowl, being careful not to burn it. Usually, this takes between thirty and sixty seconds. When the butter has melted and the marshmallow Peeps are completely melted, add them to the mixture and microwave for 30 second bursts, stirring in between. Continue until the mixture is smooth. In total, this should take two to three minutes. Add the Rice Krispies cereal and stir until the melted Peeps mixture is thoroughly mixed in. Press the mixture into the greased muffin tins using a spoon or your hands make sure your hands are lightly greased to avoid sticking. Make a small well in the middle of each to resemble a nest. To resemble bird eggs, place two to three tiny chocolate eggs or jelly beans in the middle of each nest while it's still warm. After letting the nests cool and settle for approximately half an hour, carefully take them out of the muffin tin. It's now time to enjoy your Marshmallow Peeps Rice Crispy Nests!
