60 Seconds with: Natalie Deduck

Clearly this caught my eye....so I had to ask Natalie Deduck, 21, of Scotch Plains, NJ to answer a few questions for 60 Seconds.

What is your favorite TV show(s)?

My current favorite TV shows are Dexter and The Bachelorette. I say current because I killed the entire Dexter series in about 6 months, and I am on again off again watch the Bachelor(ette) depending if I like the person. I haven't really ever shown a TV program that much loyalty to consistently watch every episode of every season.

  How do you watch your TV show(s)? 

I watch all of my TV online. Mostly from illegal streaming. And the free stuff on Hulu.

  How often do you watch television from an actual television per week?

If I'm home, I’ll watch TV for a few hours a day. If I’m at school, only presidential affairs since I’m a Poli Sci major.

  What do you consider to be the worst show on television today?

The worst show on TV today is any reality TV that generates popularity from documenting meaningless people's lives. I don't hate reality TV, but they're needs to be some sort of reason of why their life should be followed. I think TLC does a great job at this.

60 Seconds With Lauren Szmak

In addition to posting my opinions or constantly uploading articles, I thought adding real insight from your average television viewer can also show a representation of the evolving industry. Lauren Szmak, 21, will be our first guest for 60 Seconds! 

1. What is your favorite TV show, and why?

NCIS (CBS) has good characters, it is likable, relatable and I like it especially because it makes you think.  

2. How do you normally watch the shows?

I normally watch on DVR when I am home, and on my computer at school. I used to watch my shows on Hulu but now they changed new episodes are ready two weeks after the air date, instead of the next day. So now I watch my shows on Project TV. 

3. Why do you watch Project TV?

Project TV lets users stream shows the day after an episode airs. With a bunch of reliable links to choose from, picking an episode to stream is convenient. There are a lot of ads but they aren't too bad. And most importantly, it's free. 

4. How many times a week do you actually watch TV from a television set, and for what reason?

Probably around 4 hours a week, unless it is an NCIS marathon, and then I can be watching for hours. 

5.In your opinion, what is the worst show on TV right now?

Any reality show especially the Housewives series and The Jersey Shore. I'm from Jersey, and I hate how there are more Jersey stereotypes now. We are better than that.
