Went overboard with the glows and fx again on this one but it was really fun! I did researches only for the pose, tweeking both arms and legs until I got a something I liked, I don’t think it’s worth posting. BTW for a costume that is supposed to be rare, I get a lot of requests from people actually owning one xD
All right so there’s a lot of crying on the forums about how Horde is in such a terrible place for PVP right now and EMFH is too stronk and wah wah wah. So I did a highly scientific* test this Monday night. (* Not scientific at all.)
Two characters both with last season’s PVP gear, one Horde and one Alliance. Orny’s gear is conquest, so it’s better, but Sath is fully blue honor geared, so it’s not too bad. And, I think a healer has more influence on the outcome than does a hunter but I don’t have a PVP geared Horde healer so.
For each I did three random battlegrounds, and queued for Ashran.
Alliance: Alliance queues are around 10-15 minutes long. Pretty long! I’m also queued for Ashran while I do the randoms.
Game 1: Aisle of Conquest, we lost. I decide to blacklist AV and IoC because I’ve heard it makes the queue lower. It did, but not appreciably. It was still about 9 minutes. Game 2: Eye of the Storm. We won, even though I was left alone at my tower the whole game. So lonely. Game 3: Strand. My team dicked around fighting on roads instead of breaking any gates down. With 2 minutes left, we still hadn’t got into the courtyard, so I ditched. Would have definitely been a loss. I never did get into Ashran. I waited for 45 minutes. It might be good now, I have no idea?
Horde: Queues are fast, about 30 seconds. I don’t blacklist anything. Game 1: That fake WSG one. Normally I blacklist it because I hate it. We lose 0-3. Game 2: Alterac Valley. We win. Whoa. Game 3: AV again. We lose, but it’s a very good and close game -- Alliance has 2 reinforcements left. Ashran I get instantly. There are all of fourteen (one four) Horde in the raid. I don’t know if there is another raid going or not, but the zone seems pretty dead. The people in the group are pulled from all kinds of servers, ones that we normally aren’t grouped with. I manage to get all of one kill for my Nemesis before giving up. So if you’re keeping track, my wins (1 out of 3) were the same for both factions. I mean, I guess it’s bad if you arena but faction doesn’t matter in arena anyway so ... ?? Be happy about your fast queues, it’s really not that bad.
I thought the point of Protect was to guard your captain, not assume that she can Block/Heal and tank like a common Paladin. =T
One too many times has the team left me behind to go after the enemy Cap. I then became fodder for the Eles and SMs who immediately began to tear Marc a new one.
