Came up with this YEARS ago! Many a poor pegasus supplements their limited income by going to the Peagaboat Yard where a skilled Pegaboatwright draws a small amount of flight magic from them in a harmless procedure. The magic will restore itself in only a few days to a week.
When enough is infused into the new Pegaboat, it becomes capable of sustained flight with only minor maintenance. Of course, the WOOD needs regular refinishing and treatments to keep out boring beetles and their grubs.

Peagaboat Rentals obviously cannot be done until you have made a Pegaboat. Besides the usual work to build the boat, you must have, for one like the boat shown, at least 10 donor pegassi.
A well trained Pegaboatwright unicorn carefully draws a small amount of Pegasus flight magic from each donor. This is then distilled and infused into the Pegaboat.
This process is much like blood donation. The magic drawn from the pegasus soon regenerates. Many a poorer pegasus makes a good part of his or her living by flight magic donation.
In this way, even earth ponies and unicorns can experience flight by means other than commercial balloons on limited routes. Some wealthier earth ponies even have Pegayachts.
