So I have a small character who gets hurt by a bigger one. Specifically, they crush the whumpee's pelvis by stepping on it. The size/strength difference is enough to allow this to happen
Other than the obvious (lots of pain, not being able to walk) what sort of complications could arise?
Since we're looking at a pelvic fracture, some complications that might arise are nerve damage (that may cause impaired sensation or mobility, disturbances in bladder or bowel function, incontinence, and impaired sexual function), chronic pain (especially if the pelvis healed improperly), and pelvic blood clots (that may travel to the lungs, heart, and brain and be deadly).
I also wouldn't be surprised to see damage to the pelvic organs and non-bone structures, including the urinary system (ureters, bladder, and urethra), rectum, reproductive system (uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, cervix, vagina, prostate), external genitalia (vaginal opening, clitoris, labia, scrotum, testicles, penis), pelvic muscles, and pelvic blood vessels (left and right iliac veins and arteries).
Happy whumping!
