Okay so ive been using my rose quartz necklace as a pendulum because its always around my neck and i figured already is in tune to my energy due to me always wearing it and constantly feeling its energy.
However my question is, do i need to make a pendulum board or chart on a piece of paper in order to use the pendulum? A few years ago i was taught to firmly hold it above my free hand, palm facing up.
If i ask the pendulum what directions yes, no and maybe will be in before i ask questions, is a chart really needed?

Moonstone gave me an answer between "yes, you were" and "it's complicated". the best i can guess that this means is "it could be said that you were like 'that' but not in the way you're thinking, don't worry", or "that isn't the right question". there are endless nuances that could be at play here. sorry that i can't really help more :<
