I'm back from out of town, and it was so much fun!! I went to Chicago!

I'm not going to lie, I think I enjoyed Chicago as a city and as a vacation spot ten times more than New York; don't get me wrong, New York was amazing in its own ways, but Chicago was much kinder to my sensory issues, and I feel that helped me enjoy things more. I finally saw The Bean (after years of dreaming about it lol), got an incredible view from the 94th floor of the Hancock building, saw some super cool buildings on an architectural boat tour, including the House of Blues and the building where the bank robbery scene from The Dark Knight was filmed (4th pic, the long building behind the brown one), saw some absolutely adorable animals at the Shedd Aquarium and Lincoln Park Zoo, went to my first ever Jellycat store (they don't have any near me 😔), where I got two absolute cuties that you will see sometime this week, happened to walk past a bunch of Pokemon-themed things that were happening, and ate the most incredible Mexican food I have ever had in my more than two decades of having Mexican food. I'm not kidding.

Phew, that was a lot! But it was a fantastic time, and I've been having post-trip blues ever since we left yesterday 😭.
