Hiiii fish, you read a lot of nonfiction about the victorian era, right? What would you say are your top 5 favorite books about victorians? im looking for new books to read 😀
So technically I do, but my stuff is more for research and heavily focused on Paris and the working classes of the time, and more academic than I’d recommend for a casual read.
I do have a popular book called How to Be a Victorian, which is supposed to be pretty fun, so you could check that out! I just haven’t read it yet, haha. Another one that’s been recommended to me is Proust’s Duchess by Caroline Weber, which looks super interesting and was also a Pulitzer nominee last year!
If anyone else has recommendations, I’d love to hear them! I’d love to find more sources specific to domestic life that aren’t just focused on England.
