Magdalene initially was attempting to use Brent as much as Miranda was to help further Miranda’s goals. Their initial reasoning for starting to get close to him was to manipulate him further under Miranda’s thumb. However they began to genuinely care for and worry about Brent as time went on, making them start to doubt Miranda’s decisions.
The white snake that Magdalene left Brent with is a unique species of snake that they personally bred. These particular snakes are the ones that Magdalene leaves with people that they deem ‘important.’ Most others are just given the black snakes made of mold, as that is what they commonly use as their village scouts.
Magdalene has brought Brent to the village before, without Miranda’s permission, to show him the church they care for. As well as the hidden alcove above the rafters of the church that serves as their home.
Magdalene gave Brent a few pages of their old diary to hide for them, so that they can forget about the life they lived before.
“Tom is still one of the angrier ones. He's always been a bastard so not too much of a change there.
Lord love you, Tom. Now stop biting everything you dumb mutt.”

|| Hmm, possibly! She does have a strange relationship with most of the lords since she’s been around the village since pretty much everything went down. There’s resentment, fear, and pity in her for pretty much all of them and she does flip-flop between thinking that they’re all irredeemable monsters and that they’re just as much victims of the black god as she is.
|| It’s hard to say exactly what she’d feel about him though. Likely considers him to be a young man that’s in this waaaay too deep.

“Spare me your judgments and spare me your dreams, 'cause recently mine have been tearing my seams.”

A large plume of anger rose from Roisin's chest and she promptly bit the offending finger- hard.
She was furious: She was still a person! Not some dumb animal with no control!
The only "caw-ing" she was doing involved asking... well okay maybe it was a few too many questions- but it was on request of the other lord who had sent her!
Eventually releasing him, she straightened to her full height- rage still burning behind her eyes as she gritted her teeth. She felt rather close to loosing herself as she felt the darkness at the corners of her mind feeding off her indignant anger.
"I am doing my job, Mr. Lord!"
She hissed,
"Will that be all? Tá?"

|| Interesting! Roisin is certainly not super happy about her situation with Miranda and can be a bit of a pain at times.
“Don’t worry. I’m fine. No violent urges, yet”

Roisin resisted the urge to raise an eyebrow at the young man, doubt hanging in the forefront of her mind.
She was still unsure of what to make of him: He was noticeably much friendlier than the other lords, something Roisin did not trust at all. There was always a blackness- a darkness just under the surface. She knew first-hand how impossible it was to hold back for any length of time.
He was going to loose control of himself one day- she just knew it. It had to be the same for him!
Roisin shifted uneasily on her feet, a quiet noise of acknowledgement emerging from her throat. Otherwise, she dared not speak until he permitted her to leave from this place or gave her another instruction.
