Last weekend my friends and I took a trip to the National Portrait Gallery in DC. The museum is gigantic in size and includes numerous gallery rooms. We were able to see a few notable galleries such as the gallery of presidential portraits, the silouhuette gallery, and the modern/contemporary art wing. This piece above depicts former FLOTUS Michelle Obama, and the artist was able to capture her approachable and confident expression using an interesting color palette. Overall I really liked seeing the art in this museum.

Yesterday I went to see the Disney on ice show in fairfax VA that my friend was performing in. I really enjoyed the show- I thought that the acts flowed well together and there were many amazing performers in it. The skaters did a good job with the theatrics of each specific role and the expressions of their characters matched how they’re portrayed in the Disney movies. The acts included segments from Moana, Beauty and the Beast, Tangled, Toy story, Frozen, little mermaid, & Aladdin.
