it has such a good sound to it but i think it's pretty funny that i derived it from 'jennifer'

pentifer was the highlight of my oc making career frankly. the metamorphosis by franz kafka but make it an assassin bug robot imprisoned in a human body.

okay sooooo pentifer is an oc from a group of ocs i made for a steampunk themed fiction concept i briefly hyperfixated on, it's part of a group of beings known as "clockwork servants", which are angelic-themed automatons that were created to fulfil various functions by a guy with one hell of a god complex. however they were made sufficiently self-aware and intelligent enough to realize that this guy kind of sucked, and then gwendolyn (another oc) killed him. the clockwork servants then escaped and became scattered across the galaxy, with most of them taking up roles of protection or destruction depending on what they'd been programmed for, becoming war machines and sentinels. pentifer was designed to be an assassin, but unfortunately due to its creator being an asshole with a god complex, it absolutely despises humanity specifically with a passion, and considers its life's mission to be to eradicate all traces of humanity from the universe, as well as any other being it decides has become too 'infected' with humanity to be allowed to live. so it basically runs around terrorizing people. also, when it's not wearing corpses as a disguise, it looks kinda like a headless preying mantis made of metal with blades for legs.

Name: Pentifer

Pronouns: It/Its or They/Them

Appearance: Copper-colored praying mantis-esque clockwork robot made entirely of bladed legs with no head or visible eyes. It takes host bodies to disguise itself in order to fulfil its purpose as an assassin, keeping them alive but held hostage by it, before killing them by tearing free of their body when it gets close enough to its real target.

Pentifer is my beloved little murder robot with a burning hatred for organic lifeforms as a result of being created by a cruel inventor with a god complex. It's one of many 'clockwork angels' he created; Pentifer's purpose was to function as a spybot, assassin, and to get into places larger life forms would struggle to navigate.

When the inventor was killed by one of Pentifer's siblings, Gwen, it assumed that flesh and blood beings in general were all equally cruel and greedy beings, and that it was its purpose to eradicate them. However it is very small, so it contents itself with sating its bloodlust by functioning as an assassin for hire. It lowkey needs a hug and some basic kindness, but good luck getting close enough to wrap your arms around it and get it to talk to you about its trauma without getting speared or ripped to shreds.

Pentifer has a weird hatecrush on another oc, Vanessa, a human wizard, inventor, and socialite, mostly because Gwen trusts her, and Pentifer is fascinated by this depite still wanting to kill her.

Pentifer is also an oc in Angelverse (original fiction RP), but quite different in both appearance and nature there. As the Angel of Metamorphosis, they have a constantly shifting and changing appearance, though they also take the form of an androgynous humanoid with copper-colored (like, actually metallic copper) wings and skin, darker bronze hair, and five brown eyes. They never look exactly the same twice, even in this form.

Angel!Pentifer doesn't harbor the same hatred as their robot counterpart for all living beings; instead they struggle with self-identity and expression due to their inability to remain constant or consistent as their nature is to be in and oversee a constant state of change.
