no, i'm ashamed because of the amount of hypocrisy and corruption within my country. i've stated before that i'm grateful and appreciative of all of the privileges and opportunities i was lucky enough to have growing up in america. this country, being the influential country that it is, should NOT be this backwards when it comes to basic human rights. this shouldn't even be some sort of controversy. an unarmed black youth was murdered. end of story. you don't need to paint him as a thief, when he's had no prior criminal record, in order to justify his murder. his life isn't worth only $48.99 (which is the cost of the allegedly stolen swisher cigars)

Honestly, its not shameful. A lot of people feel this way about the country.

to be a citizen of one of the leading countries in the world, yet be privy to how backwards our society is? it is really shameful. and i don't want to feel this way about the country i was born and raised in. like, it's just so sad. i can't even put it into words.

Do you think long distance relationships can work for long periods of time?

I've never been in a long distance relationship but it seems as though (from what I've seen) that no, most likely they will not work out.

I'm not saying they can never work out. But unless there is huge commitment on both sides and an ability to not drift apart, then it doesn't seem like they work so well.
