so I remember seeing this post

Okay but lowkey Rottmnt Raph was raised to be a shield We see this in the movie with him saying he’s the oldest and needs to take care of everyone We also see this when he gives away his pod Or when he breaks his shell for Leo Scar even more so because now that he’s hurt his own little brother he’s Shook Very shook

he’s also resilient and would sacrifice himself. so.

Happy New years!

This is an experiment since I want a Horror Tale messy art style type thing…?

Small details I doubt anyone will notice:

-There’s a Red, Purple, and Orange window on one of the buildings- the white blue one isn’t strong because Leo is dead.

-There are lit up windows for April and sunita, as well as two ocs who exist to help plot

-The overlay is a spray paint red and green- it makes it apocalyptic and helps everything be more Scar centric. The spray paint isn’t blended to show the messy artistic

Scar deals with extreme loneliness- his only friends are Usagi and Chroma. And a… certain doll. His brothers are too lost in the past, in trying to bring Leo back, that they neglect him. He just wants to be noticed.

Please, anyone notice him.

SORRY for the lack of posts!!! The other characters are a pain to learn to draw. I’m also pretty burnt out so unless I’m given like an ask or inspo I’m going to continue workshopping designs and trying to make ref sheets for my friends. April and Mayhem though!

Todays doodles and yap

Grrrr I want to spill everything about the Mikey of this universe… but I have to save some stuff 😔

Just as Raph is called Scar (actually by his two remaining brothers as well, but I’ll probably only elaborate if asked about that) Mikey goes by Patches.

Silly artistic detail is that you’ll possibly? Notice subtle changes in designs…. Ex. Scar’s head shape being much more pointy. I wanted my horrortale au to be more crunchy grungy art style- like the comic by Sourapplestudios(?)

Similarly, I decided to change Patches’ head shape. If you haven’t read the previous post this takes place after the canon timeline. Also including the death of Leo after pulling him from the portal, everything that happened with the kraang has torn his life apart. There’s a lot of heavy backstory including everyone else, but important to note are the two who are at this point in his life dead already- (a few more people might not make it and nobody’s gonna be the same so if you don’t want the character trauma might wanna stop now.)

Not to mention there are a lot of physical alterations to everyone around him.

Him included- the text on my page is vague on purpose because who doesn’t love a good cliffhanger! :D

The Patches variation of Mikey is about the height of the average Raph. Which is concerning when you realize he was the shortest (correct me if I’m wrong)

HT!Mikey is canonically ADHD, and relatively higher on the spectrum. This is mainly because I’m also higher up on the spectrum and am only able to present it as I see it! :)

His shell is also weird because it’s not!! His shell! Donnie of this au has made a protective armor for his younger brother despite him not having the same soft shell.

maybe things would have been different for his brother if he had one….

(Disaster Twins is also canon to my au because I’m really fond of it!)

Edit: I mentioned this trauma because his head shape in the show is round to show youthful innocence. It’s more pointed to show the loss.

Doodle Dump!

Woah, it’s been a long time…. And I’m very happy to report to you that I’ve improved my skills in drawing these characters!

The first Chroma is inspired by the fact that he falls hard and fast for ANYONE. It tends to be an au of Leo- but a lot of them have Usagis. Plus, he always freaks out too much because he’s scared of messing up…. Maybe one day bud…

And slight update to Scar!!! I wanted to show his shell instead of having him use a shirt, as well as add the spikes ripping through his clothes! Gives him a more worn down look.

WASSUP BRAH!! tell me some silly fun facts about scar and ya home boy chroma!! here’s some doodles of ya goobers in exchange broski!!!

ONE OMG CHAT CHAT LOOK ITS MY BABBIEEEESSS. My BOYS. WAUGHHHH THEYRE SO GOOD I LOVE THEM SO MUCH I’M GOING TO EXPLODE!!!

Okay so since no specific questions were asked, I’ll just go on a tangent about recent developments in each of their lore.

One, Chroma may be cute and stupid but he’s in like his thirties. The fact that he helps Scar out is both from a desire to help everyone (in almost a menace way he will follow people and decide that they’re going to be helped if they want it or not) but also in almost a parent figure way.

Scar lost his splinter, and spoiler alert sorta loses his two remaining brothers, so Chroma is like his last link, and someone who can understand his pain.

SPEAKING OF CHROMA. Chroma sacrificed himself and erased himself from his au at around 18. It took him a while to move on from Leo, and when he did a certain someone led him on.

So he sorta has some attachment issues. Not a single one of his relationships has worked out. But he’s also touch starved and just really wants to be loved, which is a dangerous combo. Did a quick 30 minute doodle to showcase this.

He says it doesn’t affect him, but if someone so much as flirts or compliments him, he goes home and rots about it. I feel bad for him but honestly he can deal with it. He’s an adult man.

Is he easy to manipulate? Yes and no? He sorta bolts before anyone can realize he’s flustered and lets it all out at home. So it would require a lot of effort.

Double doodle!

Yes I’m still trying to work on drawing him forgive me

Here’s the man who started it all! I always thought savage raph lowkey behaved like Horror, so I had to make an au!

On the left is feral scar, and on the right is my soggy wet cat turtle scar. My baby.

So- he wraps his hands and feet in bandages. But why? Well, he’s more similar to an actual turtle. As someone who has handled them, they have slightly webbed feet and sharp claws.

He has a few scars from accidentally scratching himself with his new and incredibly sharp hands- until patches decided to bandage them.

When he’s feral, he opens his empty eye socket. Like just the gaping void where his eye should be, because he’s based on Horrortale. I need him to be scary.

His eyes also shrink in, his pupils becoming thin like a snake. In either form, he’s now grown about a foot and his hands are too clumsy to hold Sai. Thus, like Horror sans, he uses an axe.

When he’s not on a hungry rampage, he’s a sad touch starved little cat. Patches doesn’t like physical contact anymore. He won’t elaborate why. Mecha always ignores him.

Scar’s pupils will dilate and get big when he’s happy- just like a cat. Minus the lack of agility, he’s similar to a very clingy kitten. He hates remembering what he’s done. He just wants to block it all out.

He won’t blindly follow instructions though. As much as he isn’t the smartest, when not feral he isn’t insane. Slow, yes. But he retains basic knowledge and functions. He can talk, he can tell what’s real and not. He thinks like anyone else would. He just sometimes struggles with words.

He’s afraid that if he opens his mouth, he’ll black out and come back around to losing someone else he cares about. He locks himself in his room at night.

For everyone else he says. You’re being responsible.

He looks at the slightly mangled Teddy from that day. A blue bandana is draped over it, eye marks shabbily drawn on.

He can almost hear it whispering to him.

“I thought you were supposed to protect me.”

He has no answer. It should have been him.

Daily Doodle!

Today’s topic: Donnatello

just like, in advance? I can’t draw Donnie for the life of me. It’s the fabled forehead. Luckily this fits with Horrortale having a crunchy style!

He’s also actually only got one arm but I was partially locked in to classwork… pretend the arm isn’t there. Oooh, you wanna pretend the arm doesn’t exist so bad…

Anyway, whereas Raph and Scar are pretty different due to just mental health and Mikey and Patches based on trauma, Donnie just has his brothers call him Donnie. He’s half cyborg, so Patches calls him Mecha. He finds it annoying, but somewhere deep down he’s grateful for the fact it doesn’t remind him of his lost twin.

Mecha almost perished with Leo, in fact Scar bit off his arm. His shell was saved, and there were only a few other bad scrapes.

But after losing his brother and almost his life, Mecha is extremely paranoid. His entire shell is armored, he wears armored boots, and he keeps way too many weapons on him.

He has both eyes, but he keeps a goggle over one to constantly keep an eye on things such as the levels of radiation. He treats Scar more like a test subject then a brother.

Scar doesn’t notice, but it bothers Patches. He tested his armor specifically to make sure Scar couldn’t bite through it. He never made anything new for Scar.

He insists it’s just because he doesn’t need it. I mean, Scar is just as far gone as the ferals- the only difference is the fact that he was already mutated SEEMS to be the reason he’s fine as long as fed.

He has assorted scars from messing with much more janky equipment, solely because there’s no way to get new supplies. He’s planning to try and make a deal with the purple dragons. Patches doesn’t like this choice.

Mecha doesn’t interact with anyone really. It doesn’t even look like he’s grieving. He is- he just doesn’t know how to. He doesn’t understand the gnawing.

Yes he’s our Autistic king.

To avoid having to go into the city, If he needs something he hires the gatherer Yokai, the Feline Twins.

They’re OCs so they don’t play a big part- but I needed someone to fill in a later plot hole.

Mecha is working on some strange project… he refuses to elaborate to anyone the true purpose.
