On the run, while taking out anything that stands in the way, Rei finds herself surrounded by soldiers, sent by the Yatagarasu organization to capture her. Accompanying the soldiers are demons, which she is unfamiliar with or seen before. Aware of them trying to get her due to her Nue heritage, a heavy yet frustrated sigh emerged her lips, reaching for her blindfold to remove, unveiling her eyes, more particularly her Mystic Eyes. Armed with one of her blades, the hooded girl charged forth at inhumane speed, taking out her captors at a split minute, all meeting a fatal end upon falling into her Mystic Eyes' sight, a sight that brings death.

With both soldiers and demons fallen and her surroundings cleared, she lets out a small breath of relief, standing center among the bloodied bodies. Instinctively, she picked up the scent of blood nearby, approaching her precisely. Keeping her guard up, she raises a blade with her eyes, giving a threatening glow, ready for the unpredictable as she spoke in a cold tone. "... better show yourself now..."

The dark lady returns

Wind whistling through stone archways. The soft song of rain hitting and rolling down stone and moss. The glow of fire that hang in the throne room. New soft furs and rigs lined the floors, the breathing of the dragon around the throne filled the large room in the silent. After Brynjolf had given his report while kneeled in front of the throne.

“So, I have my thorns are at least in the Summerset Isles.” She spoke and Brynjolf nodded. “Yes, you have thorns in every main city now. Your grace.” He said with a smile as he looked up to her. Alice’s smile grows as she leans her head into her hand. “Good, took long enough but it’s done at least. Soon my roses will bloom.” She hummed as she closed her eyes, what a won for this dark day indeed.

“Ah another thing to report, it seems his majesty and his to be queen have finally made their engagement party at least.” This news made Alice’s eyes open in a snap and her smile was still big but brighter than before. She clapped her hands and stood. “Oh at least! Poor Minu had to wait for so long. that brother of mine is too slow at times~” She chuckles. “A gift I need to get a gift ready, and Brynjolf you may go now.” She waved him out, he nodded and stood leaving.

Alice hums as she went to Odahviing’s face, leaning across his large head petting it gently. “I’m so excited~ At least, I will see my brother and my friend being becoming family. What gift should I give them?” Odahviing didn’t have much to say on this since dragons don’t really have marriages and plus most gifts to dragons were food anyways.

The building was interesting on many levels. And though Sevren didn’t show it, he has been inspecting every small detail since they arrived. Their technology, their magic, their kind. Anything, and everything he can pick up on.

Even as they moved up floors, he was still taking it all in. The air in this place tasted interesting.

“... So, this person you’re taking me to. They’re the leader?”

The snake is still convinced their group is too good to be true. Perhaps the sands will lead them to be enemies one day, but he hoped it would never be so. What he is keen to know, is if they’ve heard of him, or at least, the god he is part of.

“I hope they let us enjoy our cake.”

It's not every day Hikari is distracted. Ever since she woke up her mind was elsewhere. A usually filling breakfast was changed instead for something lighter and the work she had for the day was difficult to complete. There's something different about today.

Almost as if a shadow is being cast and something is watching.

Come the late morning, the empress rode out to the Sacred Forest for a moment of respite. Once in a clearing, she dismounted her steed's back and gently patted his side. "Go on and graze, Hyperion. I will remain here," she softly spoke to the snow-white horse as he trotted away to graze nearby.

Alone, she took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. A clear mind allowed for her senses to sharpen.

Azazel sighed, face setting into a vaguely annoyed expression. Why did he ever come home? There was nothing that interested him in Gehenna. Everyone always told him being royalty had his perks but? Other demons were much more of a hassel than they were worth. Isn’t it much more fun to explore other worlds and meet other races than stay here in this overly predictable den of sin?
