“Don’t touch me.” “Just friends?” “Please stop talking.” “Us? There is no us.” (matie)
“I am trying to help you,” she snapped back before hitting his hand away form her face, ignoring the constant refusals from the male that was now basically falling back down onto the floor, the petite blonde having to pushing him back up against the wall in order to try and get him to snap out of his current state. “Look at me, Mason. For fuck sakes, look at me!” Her voice echoed around them in the empty room but it didn’t stop from the pounding of music that was vibrating the floor beneath them. Of course she knew he could take care of himself, but she couldn’t help but feel as though he was still her responsibility with everyone else around him encouraging his behavior. “Believe it or not, I can’t fucking lose you, so you need to try and stay with me, got it?”
“What do you want from me, Mason? I’ve tried. I’ve tried multiple times but you continue to tell me that you’re done. That you’re fine. Well guess what? I’m not fine! I’m not fucking fine and having you as a friend is much fucking better than not having you at all and that’s all you want! That is all you wanted from me and now you’re questioning it?” It wasn’t even anger that was coursing through her veins as she looked at the male, a few tears in her eyes as she tried her best to keep herself under control and not break down in front of the male. “You wanted this. I apologized for what I did and I’m here. I’m here and trying to help you and I wanted to try and fix things but -- but you’re with Leah now and I -- I cant come between that, alright? I’m not that girl and I refuse to be that girl. So yes, just friends until you decide you want me as something more.”
You could almost hear her snicker from across the table as she leaned back in her chair, raising an eyebrow. “You’re just pissed because you keep losing,” she stated before she threw the rest of her cards onto the table and moved her hair out of her face. “You know, if this was strip poker, you would’ve been naked a long time ago, Karofsky.”
Opening her mouth to talk again, she shook her head and sunk back down into the couch, wanting nothing more but to leave the situation all together but knowing very well that walking out of Mason wasn’t the best decision she could do right now. “I meant as friends,” she muttered before organizing her papers around her and looking up at the male with her bright blue eyes, shaking her head from side to side. “Sorry, didn’t mean to come off that way. I should go, though. My mami needs to help me finish filling these out.”
