pepper potts: always working, hectic schedule. good at adapting to different situations (even if she’ll freak out about it a little). heart on her sleeve. trusts too easily.

maria hill? also a workaholic. likely similar schedules at SI. solid in a crisis. cornerstone of any ship, no matter who she’s with (unless you hc her as an emotional mess, which I also love). trust issues galore, but easily swayed by pepper.

then you throw nat in there for extra chaos. sneaking in at 2am covered in blood (and sometimes half dead). cagey as hell. a cat for them to wrangle. she keeps things interesting.

When they meet in IM2 Nat is flirting with Tony for her job and Tony has to pretend to be into it as a cover.

And then later they realize they were both faking it and are like "oh thank god" so now there isn't anything weird between them and they can just bully each other. Queer solidarity 💪. Tony sets Natasha up with Pepper because the only flirting Nat can do is the kind that doesn't matter (aka with men)
