It was coming to a time in the day when the restaurant wasn’t as busy as it normally was, not that either of the Peppers minded much. When the restaurant slowed down, it gave them more time to go over whatever needed their attention. Currently, Mr. Pepper was in the back in the kitchen, going over their supplies and making sure they had everything they needed for cooking. Marking down what they needed to restock.
The sudden sound of the door opening, startled the man out of his thoughts. His wife shouldn’t be back here right now? Having left him to tend to something in the restaurant and no one but them and their employee’s used the back door. Was someone coming into work? No, he knew the schedule like the back of his hand, everyone should be either going home right now or just about at the end of their shift. No coming in.
“Hello?”
Mr. Pepper called, setting his clipboard down and heading out of the food locker to see who had come into the kitchen. Hopefully, it wasn’t anyone or anything troublesome.
a pair of eyes watched mr. pepper from under the table where it hid, and after a second of hesitation, the ghost lifted the table cloth up a little higher. itty probably wasn’t supposed to be here, and this could get them in trouble for trespassing, then there was the whole ghost part…. but the deadbeat didn’t want to just leave without apologizing, plus the rain was coming down and if it went outside then itty would be in real trouble. “h – h – hello,” the spirit finally responded and came out from where it had been hiding. “i’m sorry i came in here. i just…. umm…. i just wanted to stay for a minute until the storm passes, i promise not to touch anything.”
