Sooo, I was watching shadow and bone s2 e1-2, for the first time

and I’m a massive fan of the book

It still makes me so angry that Per Haskell was supposed to make more money from the Ice Court Heist than the Crows. They made four million each and technically owed him six million.

Like yeah I know that’s the point and I know that the money ends up being split between Rotty and Specht, I know, I get it, I see the themes, I understand that the books include a very obvious criticism of extreme capitalism and a lot of it is an implied allegory to the American Dream even having passages arguably reminiscent of The Great Gatsby, but knowing that doesn’t make me less mad!!!
