I have an audition on the app on Friday and I have no idea what the app is or does. The little research I’ve done makes it all seem pretty sketchy :/

[Tutorial] How to support Serri on Bigo Live

Bigo Live is an app for live streaming that is extremely popular across Asia. Though Serri was streaming on Twitch for a little while, she has appeared to have moved on to Bigo permanently. We understand it is a rather confusing and intimidating app for those unfamiliar with it, so we have created this tutorial to help anyone who would like to support Serri! 

How to join Bigo Live and follow Serri:

Download the “BIGO LIVE – Live Stream” app from the App Store.

Create an account.

Search “Serri” in the search bar and find Serri’s account. (image-1)  Be sure to follow her.

Make sure you allow the app to send you notifications. You will receive notifications when Serri is broadcasting live. She usually broadcasts in the afternoons and evenings (KST).

How to support Serri on broadcasts:

Tapping – tapping gives hearts (or whatever the themed item is) and will help Serri’s broadcast to be advertised to more people on the app. Tapping is free and easy!

Giving beans – Giving beans requires money. When watching her broadcast, there will be a blue gift box in the lower right corner of the screen. If you click on it, it will show you pages of gifts you can give to her. In the lower left corner of the gift screen, you will see a yellow diamond and a silver coin.  If you click on the diamond, you will be taken to a screen where you can purchase diamond packages. Once you have purchased diamonds, you can use them to purchase gifts that Serri will receive as beans. She can convert beans into money.  This is a source of income for her. As she receives beans, her broadcast will level up and give her chances to receive random beans and gifts from Bigo. Also: when giving gifts such as the Lucky Star, Lucky Clover, and Lucky Bottle, there is a chance you will win back diamonds. During broadcasts, Bigo may randomly apply a “Lucky Time” where giving these gifts has an increased chance of winning back diamonds.

Giving experience through coins – If you swipe to the last gifts page, you will see a sunflower gift worth 100 coins. You can get coins from daily tasks such as: (1) checking in (just requires you logging in every day and receiving the coins); (2) chatting in a broadcast (sending a comment); (3) sharing a broadcast (by clicking on the arrow button on the bottom of the broadcast screen); (4) and watching a certain number of minutes of a broadcast (the coins will accumulate for each minute goal reached). You can gain these coins from any broadcast and save them to spend on Serri. To access the daily tasks menu, click on the yellow box on the bottom of the broadcast screen. Receiving experience helps her gain levels in the app, making her broadcasts have more advertising and notoriety.

The Bigo Live app has a lot of aspects to it beyond what is included in this tutorial, such as events to win diamonds and beans. It’s been a couple months, but we are still learning about Bigo Live here at Dalshabet Global. Please feel free to ask us any questions you may have, though we may not be able to answer all of them. 

Frankly, Serri’s broadcasts are not very well attended or ranked, especially when compared to other popular broadcasters on Bigo. We really encourage fans to attend if possible, even if you can’t contribute any beans. Serri’s English skill is actually pretty decent, and she loves to read comments such as “you are very pretty.” She reads almost every comment and communicates with fans a lot through Bigo, so it’s a very fun experience even if you can’t understand what she’s saying! You get fun glimpses into her life, such as when her mom peeked in one time~
